Nice thorough test guys! Friend of mine has some older boxes of GemTech subsonic ammo that says made by CCI on it. In my experience the GemTech subs are some of the loudest 22 subs out there, followed by the noisy American Eagle. The quietest .22 subs that will function in my Walther P22's, Ruger SR-22's and Walther PPQ 22 are the excellent S&B and Aguilla subs.. I don't have a meter but to me and my friends at the range those two rule. Fiocchi makes a very good target .22 that is sub but it only works in bolt rifles and of course there is the ridiculously quiet CCI Quiet 22! That is some backyard shooting fun. Thanks again for the excellent review... I just came across you guys and am now subscribed and bell'd.

Appreciate it. We have had issues with the aquila cycling semis. But I do love them in my bolt gun. I've never seen s&b 22 subs. We have plans on grabbing as much 22 ammo as we can find around here local and do them all on the meter. I'm addicted to rim fire so we are always on the lookout for good quiet ammo

For 22s they were all so quiet and close we decided to only show were the main difference was at the muzzle end. When we do our suppressor showdowns we will now have 3 sets of readings thanks to the pulse 3 mic setup. Thanks for sharing your opinion as we had asked before and people didn’t think showing at ear was needed on 22. Now that we have the pulse we don’t have to move the mics and can capture everything at once!! Should save us a ton of time at the range - Chris

Suppressed Nation an At the Ear reading would really be nice to know for the shorter configuration of this suppressor and also for pistols who’s noise can be above hearing safe. Thanks for making these videos. Very informative for one who is looking into which 22 suppressor is the best. Do you have a current front runner in your opinion?
@SuppressedNation5 жыл бұрын
Well next set of test you will for sure have your at ear and I believe left and right of the muzzle numbers. One thing we are worried with metering pistols is at ear is different with every person because the length of the arms. But we will see if there is a major difference between Joey who is the tallest and Chris H who is the shortest of us 3.

ARHunting /// in the mornings with less humidity we get a little lower numbers then when it’s blazing hot and humid. We always took it to be the suppressors but now that thunder beast has been testing with the new pulse meter he says it meters rather close all day long. So that would put the change on the equipped not the cans. We have access to the pulse system thru Hansohn Brothers and will be doing a lot of shooting and pushing out data come 2020 if we see weather truely plays a part we will make a video on it. We have started listing the weather on all our newer metering videos so not only can we keep track but so can our viewers.- Chris

@@curtismsh9211 Purchased mine on Feb. 24, 2022. Today is June 22, nearly 4 months since my purchase. I completed my obligations on March 17, 2022 with my dealer, who certified my application and assured me it was submitted and good to go. After that, oblivion. I checked a few minutes ago and it now appears my paperwork has finally, and only recently, gone forward. If it has been submitted, I have no idea when that took place… or if it has even taken place. In one area of my account it shows I have zero tax stamps available, in another it shows I have 1. I did in fact purchase 1 tax stamp for this purchase. Who knows what is going on? Certainly not me. Honestly, I have no idea what is transpiring with my suppressor purchase. So far nothing in the process has gone as described, including a malfunctioning kiosk and a dealer who may be unfamiliar with how all this works. I was about to contact my state attorney general’s office and request their assistance, info copy to ATF. Now that appears unnecessary and I will continue to wait. I’m fine, thanks for asking. I agree that e-file seems to be the way to go. Just look for a reputable and reliable dealer before you start the process. Good luck.

Ok, I thought you were referring to a 22 load. Do you know if the American Eagle subs cycle in autos? I love your calm, laid back style of presenting.
@SuppressedNation5 жыл бұрын
@@pugger01 thank you. So far the American Eagle subs have cycled in every 22 pistol and rifle I own suppressed, unsuppressed and my one integral rifle. I wish I had some more Aguila here. That stuff was super quiet but semi autos wouldn't cycle reliably.
@gsyoung545 жыл бұрын
@@SuppressedNation I like the Aguilla subs also. Cabella's often has it by the brick up here in Alaska but lately it has been scarce. They will function in my handguns if they are stripped of all dirt and gunk and lightly lubed with synthetic. I have also had better luck after using a .30 cleaning brush to really scrub the chamber of the pistols and then spraying some RemOil or Rem Dry Lube in there. That combination lets me shoot a box of 50 without re brushing. And if I wait too long between magazines the chamber dries out and creates friction.
@SuppressedNation5 жыл бұрын
@@gsyoung54 we tried cleaning with their standard and wasn't cycling in everything but sounded sweet. Have you tried Aguila's newest sub that is 2/3 bullet 1/3 casing? I'm trying to find some local to give a go. Or is that the sub your talking of?

FYI, you should NEVER rest the suppressor against anything while shooting. That's asking for a baffle strike.
@SuppressedNation2 жыл бұрын
It barely touching the rest and is only there to guide us in making sure we can repeat the same location of placement for shots metered. We have have done this method for years with tons of suppressors and NEVER and issue. Now if we was loading it like a bipod and adding that pressure I can see an issue but just sitting it there it’s fine. Others have used the same method while metering pistols as well. But thanks for pointing that out for those who may be target shooting and putting pressure on it for precision shooting
@jonahweiss97232 жыл бұрын
@@SuppressedNation it's not as much of an issue for direct thread stuff like you're using, but I run some tri lug, which inherently has a little bit of play, and it's more prevalent with that platform. It's just a good practice though not to rest the suppressor on anything, especially if you have a Browning tilt barrel action firearm (most modern pistols), where the barrel may have a little bit of play, all it takes is a small offset to strike a baffle
