Silencers & Suppressors DayZ Beginners Guide: What Type Of Guns & Weapons Do They Fit, How To Make

In this quick beginners guide tutorial for DayZ on PC & Console, I tell you about how the suppressors work in the game, and the four different types.
In DayZ there are pistol suppressors for hand-guns and SMGs, normalized for Eastern European / Russian AK / KA type rifles, standardized for Western NATO / US guns, and the improvised suppressor that you make yourself.
Unfortunately it's not obvious if a gun can't take a "proper" suppressor, you'll just have to try one on, but almost all will take the improvised suppressor.
