This is great! One recommendation is to see if you can make the foundations connecting everything a bit higher to make them secret rooms. The illusion of being mathematically unable to raid, but you have secrets within so if it were, your loot is safe

I don't think binary search applies here. Because there is no sort on the different 1x1s, right? Let's say you start at n, no loot. You restrict search space to [n/2,n-1] but there isn't any guarantee that [1,n/2] is actually empty. Or like, number them 1 to 10. You start at 5, but after finding that 5 is empty, there's no ordering to determine whether you should search [1,4] range versus [6,10]

I haven't watch the video yet but 6 x 6 = 36. Thats just 2.7% chance if you raided a single square. If you used rocket splash you can double that to 5.4% which is 1 \ 20. Given its only 1 stone wall which is 4 rockets the difference in explosives to raid a typical base would be pretty close.

Next time make them slightly elevated that way when you go in one door, you can crouch and come out a different door without having to respond lol that'll confuse anyone trying to spy on you getting into a specific one that holds the juice. OR you could always just box in the lot too!! so do exactly what you did but box everything in. That way when a solo, duo or clan decides to raid ya they bust through a wall and find that Pandora's box lol

FYI I think you can shoot the walls or doors and check combat log to see which one has the lowest id. It was the one placed or upgraded first.

This is cool but I would place a few of those 'rooms' down before placing a TC. All a person has to do is hit each foundation one by one then type 'combatlog' in console to see which foundation was placed first. Loot on the other hand would be harder to find if placed in a random 1 by 1.

We did this a few weeks back on pickle server (it has lower upkeep). Except we did 2x1's and with 2 garage doors each, we made like 15 loot rooms and it was all sealed in with 2 sheet metal roofs and triangle honeycombing outside. We also put up 2 Sam's and like 12 turrets, and stone walls. Everyone who saw it said we aren't touching that with a 10 foot pole.

You know you can hit any of the walls and then press F1 to see which wall has the lowest (oldest) entity number? That would tell where the first 1x1 was build - so would be wise to switch TC's at some point

It's 144 rockets if the final wall is the tc, but there's also splash on the adjacent walls so we're down to 108 if done efficiently. If they pick a half of the base where the tc is 50/50 then we are down to 54 and let's face it, it's never gonna be on the outside corners so only 46 rockets 84 max if starting on the wrong half. I personally would start straight through the middle bc it's just obvious

That's a baby base compared to what I built. I built a 30×30 5 stories tall. TC was off-center on the 3rd floor. Box full of C4s and Rockets was on the 2nd floor. People still straight-lined to TC and straight-lines to box full of booms. Skipping everything else. Rust sends way, way too much data client side. It is just ridiculously easily to ESP on Rust. Everyone knows exactly where everything is in that game at all times. Bases and hiding loot is 100% useless until they fix their game.

Might be very hard to raid but very inefficient and the point of a good base is to protect your loot, but like this, you would have to distribute the loot in every 1x1 and keep going around to collect your resources and guns and stuff!

It's more about probability if they are all empty apart from a few then most raiders are not going to keep blowing up random 1x1 with absolutely nothing in them. It's safer to keep your loot in 1 and let maths protect you.

This has been in discussion for a while, this design has relatively limited resistance to binary search- you can cut it in half over and over to find the tc. It is best to make those cuts more costly, however you see fit. It currently costs 10 foundations 1-9 doors to raid. Fill in the middle foundation at least to increase it by 1 foundation.
