I love your play style! You took your time to look around and even enjoy the scenery, in parts the way you played made the game feel more cinematic! I loved the original and this remake did not disappoint. SH2 truly is a work of art and a masterclass in storytelling. On the surface, it's a game about exploring the remnants of a haunted town with a bloody history, but on the inside, it's a psychological deep dive into the tormented mind of a character haunted by his past. Everything about it is tainted with symbolism that never ceases to make my analyzing skills working. And the beautiful soundtrack complements everything just perfectly. Even though I love this game, I'm way too much of a scaredy cat to play it myself, so I thoroughly enjoyed your playthrough. Thank you so much for it!

14:26:00 Thank you for not attacking the enemies. After getting back to the basement, the few enemies that you just see on the ground don't have to be attacked since they are not going to attack you and there's a reason for that. It makes it so much more powerful to just look at them and see them and not atrack them, especially seeing the spider mannequin just back away from you. Again, there's a reason for that after watching the videotape and James realizes the truth.

I really like that you stop to look at some of the environmental stuff, I'm really enjoying the playthough, thank you! Also I couldn't help but notice a lot of the more detailed design in this version was taken from the sets of the first Silent Hill movie? I'll probably rub people the wrong way, but I love horror, and I really loved the first Silent Hill movie - I thought as far as horror goes, it was one of my faves, and it was SO well made. I totally understand it wasn't great for fans of the game, but I think they put so much work into it, and I enjoyed it greatly ^_^ particularly the sets and the monsters!

I loved the remake. It was well done, adding to but keeping the heart of the original game. However, I wish they'd remade Silent Hill (1). That game was bloody brilliant and a worthy start to the franchise. It's the game I bought a PS1 for, but sadly, it barely ever gets a mention.

SH2 is a standalone entry and has pretty much nothing to do with SH1, SH3 and SH4. You can safely get straight to SH2 if you don’t want to be spoiled on the others’ story and overarching narrative. Your choice though

It would give me a chance to replay it with a fresh set of eyes and a new attitude and the atmosphere would absolutely be amazing. Does beg the question though of whether they'd change the mechanics or not. Wouldn't expect them to remake 4 before 1 and 3, but I'd definitely grab a copy of any of them. This game is so good 🫨
