Most of the credits of the graphic is for the UE5. Altough, Bloober deserves it's credits, but not only for this remake or for the graphics choice. The first Blair Witch, a Resident evil clone released in the ninities, is an underestimated masterpiece. I will never forget the david lynchian experience of that game, and since then I expect some bigger franchise to repeat that horror formula (it never happened). Bloober has always been a talented team, despite some fails in their career.

Be grateful to be alive right now if you're a fan of horror games, these 2 games as well as some of the other RE engine games are great, RE has always had more of a Hollywood Horror movie vibe where Silent Hill feels more like a disturbing novel that will stay with you for a long time after you read it, both great series though, it's great to be experiencing this renaissance for Survival Horror.

RE2R overall has way better attention to detail even when you shot enemies, that you see them realistically degrading. My Guess is that as RE4R has bigger zones and a way bigger amount of enemies you should fight, they toned down the effects, for optimization porpuses. Pity, I really liked that detail, made It feels extremely imersive

Many understand the nature of Resident evil 4 perfectly. It's not really a horror game,it's more campy and fun. With horror themes but plays out like a John wick style shooting game with bizarre scientific creatures lol 😂 it's fun. But NOT horror.we understand Silent Hill 2 is pure anxiety inducing, traumatic horror with tense themes. More slow paced yet overwhelming in a good way. Pure horror. But technically both can be compared due to both being classified as horror, and both are great remakes.

Si el juego hubiese sido pensado en un principio para Old Gen, hubiera salido también para xbox one, pero no salió. Solo teabajaron en el PORT para PS4 porque vieron que en PS4 en ese tiempo habia casi 80 millones de usuarios.

The Resident Evil series always had better gameplay than Silent Hill. Up until SH4, their gameplay was passible but the story and atmosphere kept you hooked. But both RE4R and SH2R are great games though.

Silent Hill gameplay is purposely done that way because A) the character is a regular dude with no combat training. So for realism. B) it makes the horror element more scary having the gameplay be kind of a bit clunky. It's still fun because of the new dodging action. It helps you when you miss your target at close range you can get out of the way fast. RE4 was designed with action gameplay in mind they also wanted to compete with call of duty back when it was originally released.

В RE4re я не помню и секунды, когда можно было заскучать. Огромное разнообразие врагов, грамотно перемежающиеся моменты экшена и спокойствия, разнообразные боссы, вариативность боев и инструментов: у нас есть и бой на лодке, и бой на вагонетках, и бой на лифте в часовой башне, можно использовать пушки и пулеметы. Каждая новая локация дарит новый опыт и новых противников. Что мы видим в Сайлент Хилл 2? Буквально бесконечное хождение по коридорам в темноте. 1 час фирменного тумана, а затем 20 часов брождения по одинаковым коридорам и комнатам жилого комплекса, больницы, тюрьмы. 3 с половиной врага тонким слоем размазаны по всей игре и никак не меняются от локации к локации. Страх нагнетается не тем, что ты боишься за свою жизнь, а страшной музыкой, звуками, темнотой и скримерами-манекенами. Такой геймплей может привлечь ностальгирующих фанатов старой игры, но очень мало новых игроков. Оценки игре сильно завышены.

For me, Silent Hill 2 Remake wins from realistic characters.... Yeah, we can see that from Leon and James' faces... (Seeing James' face reminds me of the engine from the CGI series RE - Infinite Darkness) which is super realistic. While RE4 Remake Wins From Realistic Movement.... A little example... Another thing that makes me think RE4 Remake wins in terms of realistic movement... If We See the RE4 Remake Intro Cutscene While Driving... When the Old Policeman Speaks. "The Chief Gives His Own Orders, Help Him Say Them". Leon's eyes could be seen first glancing at the policeman who was talking, then turning to glance at the policeman who was driving... Capcom Pays Great Attention to These Details.... and after Leon answered too... we could see the reaction of the two policemen... especially the one who was driving... the policeman just answered with a smile accompanied by a shrug of his shoulders (laughing silently)... It's As If RE4 Remake Was A Living Animation

Nuclear but also completely logical take: Silent Hill 2 is better. Obviously graphically better cause SH2 is a PS5 game while Remake 4 is still a PS4 with a “high graphics” version for PS5. But also better by the fact *SILENT HILL 2 NEEDED A REMAKE AND RE4 DIDN’T* Even today to celebrate Halloween I played RE4 OG on my current gen consoles and had a blast. To play original SH2 I have to dust off my PS2. And have 0 plans to buy the messed up PS3 collection (factually so because they lost the code for the original game). So while I obviously am thanfull to have played both games, original and remakes. For the sake of “art and economics” I applaud SH2 more.

Survival Horror has had a significant 'Dark Age' from about after RE4's release till probably RE2Remake or maybe even RE7. Remember when Silent Hill: Downpour and Resident Evil 6 were the last main entries of either series? *cringe* It felt like Survival Horror was in a bad place for such a long time, now we have a kind of renaissance period! Now if only we could take the next step finally and get away from the remakes and see some fresh new ideas in the form of ACTUAL entries (fingers crossed for Silent Hill f and RE9) and hopefully other companies make newer IP's as well.

I'll be honest, I'm only skimming through the video, but jesus it looks like the person who uploaded this definitely used some footage of RE4 Remake with some terrible lighting throughout the video. You can tell Leon and the texturing on his face is all blown out with universal lighting and stuff and it's giving a false impression when compared with SH2. Not saying it was done intentionally, but I don't remember playing RE4 and having it looks like that at all. I remember always being impressed by the graphics, texturing and lighting throughout the game. Some moments captured of RE4 were okay here, but a lot wasn't.

I'm not sure buddy I have both games and yeahh maybe silent hill looks more "realistic" but RE4 remake on PC with Max specs looks so good at 1440p, I cannot push Silent hill to the max settings because my framerate drops bellow 60fps, anyway I prefer resident evil, the scenarios are amazing, the lake, the casttle and also the enemies, I'm not done with silent hill 2 but I don't find it so funny for now

I cant believe silent hill 2 remake actually is better over all than the resident evil 4 remake. Dont get me wrong,Re 4 is more action packed;more fun persay. But the Silent Hill 2 remake is THE DEFINITION of horror and next gen. The sound,the ambience,the trauma , the emotions, even the melee & gunfire and albeit more limited actually works again in the favor of horror. Leon feels overpowered, especially towards the middle and end lol he can literally just kick enemies 😂 its fun but not horror inducing at all. Silent hill makes you FEEL underpowered and overwhelmed at every step.
