In the game files, you can enable FG. Then, on a 7800 XT, at 2K resolution, on ultra settings, without ray tracing, and with FSR set to quality, you'll get 100+ FPS.

Once you get to silent hill the game starts performing much better, you can have mostly high settings with raytracing and 60 fps

Because it is a form of upscaling which is absolutely free in terms of performance. Using other forms of upscaling all have a cost associated with them.

Funny how the only noticeable effect of RT is frame drop, LoL I've got 7900 XTX, so it should run fine with it on, but why bother?

It's noticeable if you do a side-by-side comparison - but the non-rt lumen works out really nicely here, so I don't see the point in tanking frames.

this game looks so much better in 4k i know its obvious but i mean this game was made in 4k and you downscale to the other resolutions whenever you change any settings you can see clearly the quality loss ! if you know waht am saying

@@erikouwehand it is. It is UE5's software based RTGI and RTR solution. Also the games (SH2 remake) RT option turns on Lumen. So even if you wanna say "uhh.. technically" the devs of this game consider this as RT and named the setting as such.
