This might be wrong, but I remember reading that Sean Bean's plot was a call from execs who said that a movie where the 3 main characters are women would do poorly at the box office, so it was added after the fact to give us a male co-lead.

I had to look it up, but I believe that's right. He was only supposed to be in the beginning and the end of the film, which makes so much sense. I thought it was strange that Bean had multiple talking scenes just on the bridge to Silent Hill; they must have struggled to think of ways to implement him like that.

Another mad indepth review. Dunno how I slept on this man. I agree completely. Might I add, I played the 2nd and 3rd games only a couple of years back and I thought they aged well. I enjoyed them. I then went to rewatch the film and found it even more enjoyable after playing the games. Keep it up!

Idk if you would ever review a video game but I'd love to hear your thoughts on Horizon Forbidden West if you ever did.

Hmm. I'm considering it, I've been recording gameplay for it just in case, but it's hard to say since it might be another week before I finish the game, and sometimes it's hard to know where my mind will be at on something week to week. But: maybe.

In general silent hill gas sort of been an odd series. The first game was pretty great and it slowly got worse until the 4th game was about 1/2 filler. So I guess they really captured the feel of the series. The first half being interesting but maybe a bit troubled and the last half devolving. Also the super mario bros movie is fantastic and I will always defend it as the best video game movie. Something bad but weird in a very interesting way will always be better to me than normal and mediocre movie. Like what I'm assuming the new super mario bros film will be.

That is the one thing I'll give that Mario movie, which I've only ever skimmed so I can't judge it at all - it's definitely the most original, which is notable since it's based on the single most known game property out there.

The Team Silent developed games will always hold a special place in my heart. Velodus, now that you've reviewed movies based on games, is there any chance we'll see TV/movie licensed video game reviews? ...LOST: Via Domus? 🙏🥺

A good question! I would only do something with Via Domus if I ever reached a major subscriber milestone, because I don't like pigeonholing myself as "the Lost channel." So, maybe, but there would have to be a special occasion for it, if that makes any sense.

@@velodus Totally understand. I'm sure the LOST reviews were exhausting, but your work and attention to detail really shows. Loved going back to watch those and trying to read all the hidden messages. 😝 I watched the show as it was airing on ABC, and LOST was a Wednesday night family staple. I'll always love the show, and I really enjoyed your critique.

And I know those videos are hard to follow, but - if I can ever get to them - I do have some ambitious side stuff that I hope to get to on here eventually, that I hope will semi-satisfy any urge for additional Lost-stuff from me. But that's like way down the line, haha.

I'll take it under advisement. I do think my thumbnails have gotten much better lately, since there was a while where I just didn't care about them, but these current ones will evolve over time.

pyramid head is not the big villan of the series😂. he is not a villain at all and he is only in SH2. if you like the movie you will love and have sex with the second game. it is a brilliant masterpiece.
