The 6 that deserves a "WTF". The 5 (homecoming) has a good history and a good atmosphere. Now the Dowpour is horrible. Totally without nexus, weak history, enemies who fight karate. Dowpour was the worst of the franchise. I usually clear all my games more than once, but the Dowpour was once and never again.

People said that this song should be on SH2. But it fits SH4 perfectly. Hear me out. The lyrics reflect on Walter and his relationship with his “mother”. But the chorus it’s pretty straightforward and it’s about Eileen waiting for Henry to finally come back from his apartment. Remember, she can’t follow him through the portals so that poor girl is stuck right there in the nightmare world waiting for her last hope that is Henry. If he doesn’t come back, she is pretty much dead.

Every silent hill game I played until now I could not finish, but the music... the music and the ambiance are the best part of the games, and perhaps the story too, I'm sure of that. But the gameplay mechanics suck. Are tedious and boring; lost in a fog or in the dark finding locked doors looking for keys, I think the greatness of the soundtracks far exceeds the greatness of the games. At least in terms of gameplay

Nah, it’s just the leitmotif of the series. Yamaoka likes to slide it into many SH tracks. Even that melody of Theme of Laura is a variation of the main series theme. However, I think it was best used in Shattered Memories’ Hell Frozen Rain.

I think enough time has passed to say that SH4 TR deserves to hailed as the last Great Silent Hill game before thing swent out of hand. Yes Origins is ok and Shattered Memories was a cool reimagining of the first game, but this was Team Silent's Swan Song to the franchise before being disbanded from doing future games in the series and the creepy aura and story found in the game is intense and dark just like the 3 games before it. As well as having a spine-tingling killer soundtrack!

because of inadequacies that led to hopelessness that led to loneliness and a cynical perspective of the world as a psychological defense mechanism which prevents feeling hurt or letdown about trying which keeps the afflicted from changing and snapping out of the veil of overthinking and maybe not dealing with emotional problems or undealt with emotions. by the way, its not a sexual innuendo, its a manifesting delusion which is the minds way of relieving tension about repetitive habits and not being surrounded by people, aka loneliness, by resolving the emotional buildup (regarding the past and possibly regarding the present because of somatism involved in learning which might cause confusion or misunderstandings for psychological defense reasons) which unblocks or unbars the afflicted and allows the afflicted to change the afflicted's habits and thinking in either a good way or a bad way depending on the amount of denial and emotional tolerance to the reality of things, which is what counseling is for.

A lot of people hate on SH4 and while I agree that its not that great I still had a great time with it. Its been years and years but I still remember playing it late night, and getting actually oppressed by the atmosphere. It might not have been the Silent Hill I know and love but it was still an amazing horror game!
