The Crew of Uboat U-473 is back in ww2 playing Silent Hunter 5. Our Uboat is tasked with hunting as part of a Wolfpack in the Atlantic Air Gap also known as the Black Pit!. Our Uboat will battle WW2 Warships and aircraft who have one job to hunt us down! Can we survive to sink merchants...time will tell!

This engagement reminds me of video of another channel (can’t remember name now) few years ago. Not sure if he knew the convoy was all armed or what but he popped up on surface pretty much in middle assuming to use deck gun, and got immediately torn up from MG and cannon and sank within minutes

Half speed isn't cruising speed, so that may be why you were out of position. Standard (or whatever it is in German) is cruising speed. Good hunting.

do you ever unlock the camera from the target to hit different parts of the ship when firing multiple torpedoes? im just wondering if it is worth it, or if hitting the same spot does anything to increase flooding overall.
