I knew you will love it. For me this is pure perfection. The harmonies are crazy good and I love how they made it their own. ❤️ I especially love Avi because people seldom got the pleasure to really hear him sing while he was with PTX. Plus this is LIVE and you can really hear how good they are. I love it so much.

Great reaction. I love this version of "Silent Night". Avi's part gets to me every time. It's so relaxing and calming. I know pausing isn't ideal, but as long as it keeps the video from getting blocked I don't mind it. It seemed very organic the way you did the stopping here. There were actual things to talk about at that point instead of just stopping to stop. I say if it works, keep doing it this way.

This video was shot in a cathedral in Germany while they were on a European tour. The church you're thinking of from "Can't Hold Us" is the church on the campus of Mount St. Mary's University, in the mountains outside Los Angeles, which is where the entirety of "Can't Hold Us" was filmed. It's also where the A Cappella Academy (founded in 2014 by Avi Kaplan, Ben Bram (PTX long-time arranger/producer) and Rob Dietz (composer/arranger)) is held for 10 days every summer. Kids from 13-18 years old from around the world do video auditions, and those who are chosen spend those 10 days in intensive classes in vocals, performance, theory, composition and arranging, and specialties such as beatboxing and bass singing (which Avi often teaches). Here's an example of just one of the whole school choir performances, done at the end of the 10 days. This is "He Lives in You" from "Lion King 2" from the class of 2019 - kzbin.info/www/bejne/qKS4nH6rgauHodk

Another amazing arrangement! Yes, I agree with you that the trio seems like one singing creature. They breathe together, enunciate every syllable together, end each note together, what a gift. Kevin’s voice is so sweet and angelic, discreet yet an essential part of those refined chords. Avi’s solid and often surprising (note wise) chord bottom. This is what a finely tuned and oiled machine should sound like. And through it all, their love of music shines bright. Love and respect. Great reaction, as usual. 🤗

Silent Night never was a favorite song of mine ..... until PTX put their spin on it :) !! It starts like hearing angels singing , and when Kevin and Avi come in ... GOOSEBUMPS , every time again !! It sounds so full , partly due to the acoustic environment . I think you would like " O Come , All Ye Faithful " , it's with a choir and has a African vibe ( Kevin's roots) , and the video is recorded in a church , just like another great Christmas song "Joy To The World " . The pausing doesn't bother me , your comments are such a pleasure to listen / watch to and are so ful of valuable information :) !!

Don't worry about pauses, you did your thing in a nice way, not disturbing at all. Let me say how beautiful it is (was...) to hear Avi singing with them. Sweet harmonies, interesting arrangement. PS: sorry, can someone clarify me the correct form.... "to hear him singing [with them]" or "hearing him sing [with them]"?. English isn't my first language and I can't get that right. Sigh...

The purpose of a reaction video is to react... not for us to just watch someone watch a video. IMHO the reactors who get repeatedly blocked are doing so because they're doing more watching than reacting. Having said that, though, I've also seen very good reactors get so mesmerized by PTX that they forget that they're supposed to be reacting. I often feel bad for reactors who don't get to just listen and enjoy the discovery of new music without interruption. But go ahead and pause, rewind, repeat, react -- that's what you're here for, so don't apologize for it!

Sooo, ignore my comments on the previous vid asking for suggestions for preventing blocks as you now have those covered. That'll teach me to watch more uptodate before suggesting lol. Also, I too appreciate good acoustics, it's that beauitful cathedral effect. I grew up in the choir of a church that didn't just have no acoustic amplification it actively deadened the sound, so frustrating to sing in. We had the most amazing operatic tenor (not famous, but he'd sung all over the world) who visited, he played organ for us for about 6 months, even he struggled to get it to sound impressive when he sang, if I found it frustrating as a 15 year old, i can't imagine how he felt. About a year after I left the choir they got a decent sound system put in with mics and speakers, but a few years later they had a priest who didn't believe in using it. Unsurprisingly really, they ended up with no choir at all.
