*TEARS* I can relate to the talk. I lost my voice at 14 years old, and am almost 63 now. This is the first time that I understand why. Chi Miigwetch Andrea. ♥

This was amazing, Andrea. I'm so inspired by you - I know the journey it took to get there, and you rose to your calling, and rocked it! You are powerful! It's so touching to see women's reactions, and I am heartened by the number of men I see below showing their support. When birds of a feather...

Amazing, profound, life changing, inspirational TEDx Talk. Powerful hearing your eloquence, grace and power rallying the courage and compassion of all our relatives while sharing raw courageous truths, Andrea. You have given us a profound gift in this valuable messages - "I Will Be Silent No More!" "my voice matters because I matter" - I love hearing how you reconnected to your voice that was once so locked up and stifled after tremendous adversity...discovering primal healing howls of Mother Natures Song of love through "Shady's" journey. Together we howl and soar for our own and our relatives who have been silent too long. You raised important questions about taboos which insist we stifle our voices and in doing so, gives social asylum to perpetrators. Why are the voices of boys and men missing in this conversation, too? I adore your beauty, your strength, your heart song

Thank you for the brave testimonial. It is a natural predilection for the vulnerable, especially children, to assign blame to themselves for wrongs caused by others - especially significant influencers. For others coming out of any form of dysfunction inflicted on them, when finally out of danger, the abused must accept the fact that they were not to blame for the dysfunction or abuse and then they must affirm this within themselves - to note inwardly that they are indeed "okay" & "safe". Accept this and believe it, so that healing within can begin, just as was testified by Andrea Menard.

As humanity, we need to evolve. Silence no more is a part of the evolution and healing. The other part of the equation is to elevate the importance of human respect, and to educate and TALK ABOUT the males of this world and how we are educated, how women are objectified in media and games, how we do not understand our own brains and how they operate and how when in a state of imbalance we make bad and harmful decision and most importantly how those decision hurt both the sacred and ourselves. Males, in general are hugely uncomfortable with this topic, they hear it and want to run like the wind, but it's time for us all to stop and participate in this conversation, for the 1:3 and 1:2 ratio will not change until we do. Thank you Andrea, for giving of your voice and talent and having the courage to tell your story. It was poweful and full of passion and told in a way that permeated our souls. I join with the audience in a standing ovasion. I am blessed and honoured to call you my friend and kindred spirt. Yet another example of the Positive Music Imperative for a song will tell the story in ways that words cannot.

Its been a big week here in Vancouver. First of all, this TEDx talk and my new song called Silent No More, which both deal with ending the silence around violence against women, were released to the world! And secondly, this was the week the National Inquiry into the Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls was in Vancouver. Wow. its time to break our silences and for others to really hear the voice of the Feminine.

Grandchild, Wake up! Remember who you are. You are a Child of the Creator. You are a Spark of the Creative Fire. This is a perfect creation created by a perfect creator. You. You are worthy of this task. Your own dreaming brought this opportunity to your doorstep. Celebrate the magnetic nature of your dreams. Enjoy the perfection of your creations. We know you feel fear. Feel the fear completely. It is yours to embrace. Let the magnitude of this event wash over you like water. Fully immerse yourself in the experience. Feel it all. When you surrender to your sacred understanding of Life, you will know that all of Creation supports you in this dream. All your Relatives hear your prayer. Surrender, Grandchild. Know yourself. You are worthy of this task. You can trust yourself. You are safe to succeed. We honour you for this journey. Every step you take lightens the dense nature of your Earth Walk. Everything you embrace makes the journey easier for others. This is sacred work. We love you. The Patchwork Grandmothers ~Andrea Menard ♥
