All of them were just trying to scream or growl as hard and loud as possible while paying no mind to the damage it was doing to their voices. I think it's honestly, a grounding sort of essence, to the earth. He can probably feel the vibrations of all the other instruments better too, I mean, listen to how ON TIME he is this whole 55 minutes. Absolutely astounding. I think it's just personally something that helps him hone in on his zone.

he had some health problems that rendered him unable to use his legs for a long time. He had to use a wheelchair and during that time he felt like something as mundane as being able to walk was taken for granted. He recovered and wanted to feel the ground.
