Cinderella got corrupted from the "needle - like" device that is similar to the one that Chatterbox threatened Chime with in the Last Kingdom Storyline. The day before she went out on her first mission, Abe and Red Shoes performed one last tune - up and Abe instructed her to "deactivate her coating, cause the NEEDLE won't go it". Heck, corruption for the individual is exactly how Chatterbox described it; being fully conscious but not able to stop yourself.

All I can say about Old Tales is it’s been shocking and ultimately disturbing NIKKE really knows how to score those gut punches ever since that first story mission Under that veneer of “sexy ladies with booty and booba jiggle physics” lies a grim post apocalyptic world with a lot of loss, sadness and depression But ultimately there is also hope, friendship and drive for a better world Guess that’s why I and many others have stuck with NIKKE for so long and I wish every commander a happy 2nd anniversary May we eventually reclaim the surface… together

It literally broke my heard when she was persuaded by the mirror to do all that for the goddesses and how they repeated those words over and over again until she said for the queen. That was really heartbreaking even though we all knew she had to get corrupted at some point.

With the lost relics, we see that up to that point corruption was just something that made Nikkes ineffective, stuff like temporary paralysis, blackouts, etc. There was no concept of a heretic, or corruption just causing someone to switch sides, so whoever corrupted her, unless under direct orders from the queen, wouldn't have known that corruption would make Cinderella go berserk, and so fast, AT MOST, the objective was either to have her get found out as corrupted and be disposed of, or getting paralyzed mid battle and dying in action. Now, about Red Shoes, Red Herring or Chekov's Gun, it's too suspicious for it to not be her, but it's also too obvious so she could be a tragically innocent character, that to fit her fairy tale, THEN becomes guilty due to something like greed after being suspected of stuff she didn't do pushing her into a corner (and maybe turns into Nihilister). Also just remembered that we never heard what Red Shoes wanted to tell the team, that also feels like Chekov's Gun tbh. Just Cant wait for part 2!!!!

Cinderella’s EN VA did amazing in this event, especially the ending of part one of Old tales. The pain, despair, and rage Cinderella felt was beautifully captured. God, I want to hug Cinderella so bad, the pain she suffered having to watch Anachiro massacre her friends/comrades, agony. But the way Red Shoe acted during the event really rubbed me wrong. It was during the confrontation with the soldiers and Abe that solicited it. It was her attitude towards Abe’s anger when the signal was reconnected, and dismissive. I think it’s possible that Red Shoes somehow corrupted Cinderella through the tea she gave her, however, she didn’t expect her scheme to backfire and that being she along with the rest of her team being branded as traitors. No matter how she tried to talk it out, it didn’t work. In the end, the consequences were, her being branded as a traitor, AND now had to fight Cinderella.

What stood out is how the music tells on the story. ( before constantly hearing corrupt Cinderella repeating killing everyone in the hub ) I knew from that creepy Nier style melody that some bad shit was gonna go down, but it surprised me how fast shit went down, lol.

Through the entire minigame we are killing "raptures" only to start fighting x4 raptures that look very similar only to bring them down and before we finish the job are saved by a mysterious 5th rapture that rallies them and destroys Cinderella.

Here's my own theory, Red Shoes thought that Corruption was just benign, and to introduce Corruption to Cinderella, maybe trying to 'inoculate her' against the paralysis effects, maybe out of just jealousy. Unaware of what Corruption really was, a power which could burrow into the mindscape of the victim and override their will. The bigger question is *"How did Red Shoes even GET Corruption in the first place?"* because as far as it's been made, Corruption can only come from the Raptures, so how did a Nikke/Researcher get her hands on it without ever being in or near combat?

In Rapunzel Pure Grace bond story, Rapunzel actually met Abe AND Red Shoes at research lab. She's carry corrupted nikke, attempting finding cure for new Corruption symptoms. While Rapunzel failed to find a cure and go back to Goddess squad. I believed that corrupted nikke bodie is still in that research lab and that's how Red Shoes get Corruption.

United Forces of Humanity and V.T.C.(some scientific and/or religious organization) did, but I don't recall them keeping samples of it for research purposes. At least based on current info, new lost items or story bits could overturn that. Like how they actually did understand that Corruption was a 'command code' being issued to the Nikke.

I agree with you on everything except them being friends. They didn't even know why the others even joined up to fight the good fight. They even talk about joining different squads and such. They were like co-workers at best. I think Abe was the glue the really kept everyone together. I 100% think tho that Little Mermaid and Cinderella are friends. I mean little Mermaid was the only who tried to stop Cinderella from tweaking out and when she was getting beaten, Red shoes, Hansel and Gretel just stood their and watched. When the support does more damage than the actual attackers of the team you know shit is scuffed as hell. And when Cinderella was about to kill Little Mermaid at the end of the story she begged the queen or voice to stop, I think if it was anyone else she would have killed them without a thought besides Abe who is like her mother figure/creator.

Based on the video's explanation, as well as all the general clues revealed in the game, Red Shoe is definitely the traitor. More importantly, taking into account Red Shoe's fairy tale story, Cinderella getting corrupted and wishing for her end is in a way, dying like how the story's Red Shoe dies. Its like... Red Shoe used Cinderella as a scapegoat so that she would die in Red Shoe's stead.

@@vigbokwe69 yeah i believe so as you remember in the event story cinderella attack them and we can assume that they got heavily injured from it. after what i belive took few days or months to unlimited to find them and bring them to there base to be rebuild but as we know unlimited had safed multiple different nikkes and we know that abe IS mass produced nikke from the old tale event story and is still alive in the ch 32 so we can assume that the rest of the old tale nikkes are in possession of unlimited. i first found out the connection when i was doing ch 6. I had already finished the old tale story.

Another comment and a spoiler for the mini-game but after rewatching the end cutscene of Story II of Red Ash. I noticed a similarity with the battle Snow White, Dorothy, Scarlet, and Rapunzel all were struggling against before Red Hood showed up. In the mini-game. You fight four bosses in one room imitating the weaponry of the Goddess squad. Beating them all a new one shows up and revives them. Then, Cinderella is beaten. Before waking up elsewhere confused that Glass Slippers had been repaired. But, progress is impossible without certain keys. Certain keys it will take to complete Old Tale's Story II stages. Don't get me wrong. You can still go back and explore. Just not go to certain areas yet.

Poor Cinderella she was force to watch her teammates killed her corrupted self from inside her mind and watch thousands of nikkes slaughter by her own hand and last of all she fought goddess for years and red hood saw Cinderella pain and agony through wanted to end herself and red hood honor that wish but was taken back to put under vapuas and comatose for 100 of years. This was really traumatic for Cinderella to overcome in later stories.

Can we please get a break down video of the conversation/deal Cinderalla made? And who we believe made the deal with her? For a number of reasons, it makes me think the corruption itself, ISNT controlled directly by the queen. Between the way it's phrased, the laughs and antagonizing banter, and language used, it just doesn't add up. One of the beasts is most likely involved, we'd need more material to work off of.

My theory is that Red Shoes was actually the first Heretic and not Cinderella. The first Nikke to be corrupted in the sense that we know but unaware of it fully. Then after that maybe when we hit another anni and know more of the queen we find out the Queen was actually the first corrupted Nikke. I want to believe that The Queen is an AI humanity made similar to a weapon but it went against it's creators for some reason (Likely because Nikke humanity is just scum) and started making the Raptures to kill them Lilith and the grims model she mourns in the Red Ashe mini event are also connected to this AI and that the other grims model that is dead and mourned was made the first Queen, for lilith to be the next, and now we are on the 3rd queen being Modernia.

Red Shoes is hella sus. Aside from the red flags mentioned by Pyrrhixz and others in this video, I like to add the following: 1. Old Tales members are mentioned the first time as Cinderella's friends in Side Story missions of the Main Campaign (31/32). HOWEVER, Red Shoes was never mentioned alongside the names of Hansel, Gretel and Siren/Little Mermaid. 2. Red Shoes has her own Glass platform inside the Event with her own model. If you get close to it, the text reads "Red Shoes... how could you?" So if we add these two additional red flags to the facts mentioned in this video, I'm led to the following conclusion: Cinderella eventually finds out that Red Shoes was the one who betrayed and corrupted her. Hence she no longer sees her as a friend and didn't mentioned her when we the Commander talked to her in the present Main Story. Furthermore, Red Shoes perfectly fits with all the characteristics mentioned in this video (vain and greedy).

I didn't expect NIKKE to invoke the thought of; "How would it feel to have your body stolen from you, or be trapped in a body you cannot control? Only to see it commit atrocious acts." I genuinely feel bad for Cinderella and I feel happy that she's gotten the chance of redemption. Also do note she isn't labeled as a Heretic in the menu of her squad. I know this is a bit of a stretch but I definitely feel like she's purposely classified as Old Tales because she still will fight for humanity, unlike Nihilister, which is the only true Heretic we have in terms of available characters. Marian may still be a queen somehow, but it's clear she is able to go against the will of the queen and protect those she cares about. I still feel Marian was classified as a heretic strictly as a way to not spoil who she is. I do wonder if more heretics will be classified as heretics or have their true squad classification instead.
