I sleep with it majority of the nights and i dont hear my wife.. If you want pure noise cancelling i definitely recommend you this one (I have also discount for this one): kzbin.info/www/bejne/hHS0mqOvltCZaac i use both ot them depending on the day or moment of the day.. Per example i work a lot with china so i sleep more during the morning so the light disturb me so i use the silent mode in does moments..
