These farms are SUPER duper easy :D I hope you enjoyed this tutorial! If ya did, do all the youtubey things! I'll have more tutorials releasing soon, stay tuned!:) *If you want to make this work on java:* The spawning room needs to be an 11x11 square, not a diamond. And the iron golem needs to stand on the other side of the trapdoors, since they can't get into minecarts on java edition. Pretty small tweaks!

@dakotahyer2946 Жыл бұрын
Works in 1.20, suggest making the frog chamber a block lower, so 5 blocks down instead of 4 as silent did as the frogs can sometimes have super jumps and jump out. Another change I made was have the collection chamber on the other side, so directly underneath the spawner, since I moved it another block down due to the frogs jumping out so I wasnt quite close enough to the spawner anymore so I just moved it to the other side underneath the glass and works fine now. You also get a good view of the magmas spawning above you.

My tip is to not build it next to a warped forest because of the endermen spawns. I had to put trapdoors in the afk spots to keep the endermen out and they do get caught in the killing chamber as well. Probably reduces magma cube spawns too.

For anyone watching wanting to make this in Java as of 1.20.1: The iron golem cannot go in the minecart, he will always climb out and walk around. Even making a 2x2 cage of glass walls there will not properly aggro the cubes, you'll have to stand roughly 1 block closer to the trapdoors than where the minecart slab is place, and go act as living bait and afk there. I would also say the farm is sufficient with only 3 frogs of each type, as I got over a stack of each froglight in about 10 minutes at most.

Built in bedrock 1.19 with Nintendo switch on 12/17/2022. Built block for block but kept the kill chamber access door instead of filling it in. I grew 21 white frogs from tadpoles in the kill chamber prior to freeing up the spawner and it worked really well and was fairly quick. I already had a frog breeding area at my base that I used to make a manual farm a couple months ago so getting tads in buckets was fairly routine. This farm produces every bit and more of the advertised 1800 an hour. I'm getting 5x 64 stacks every 10 minutes of lights and around 60 cream. I built a portal near it in the treasure room to have close access to the overworld, hopefully they'll be biomes close to easily get some green and orange frogs in there.. Great build and very worth the time to build if you are wanting an abundance of lights. Bravo bravo... there's a lot of videos still out there that are broken but this is not one of them

For transporting frogs (I had to move mine over 1,000 blocks), try to have an enclosed Nether tunnel wherever possible leading from the portal to the farm. With a lead attached you can sprint full out with a frog in tow. Good luck everyone!!!

Less than a week before 1.19 drops, so I went ahead and built this yesterday (or at least the parts that I could). I'm bummed that Mojang didn't add in Buckets of Frogs, but I went ahead and made sure my nether tunnel to the Bastion went by some Temperate and Cold overworld biomes so that I can transport the Frogs in as easy as possible... it's still going to be a pain, but I really want Froglights so it will be worth it. Also, for those that are going to build this I highly, highly, highly recommend bringing a bunch of Fire Resistance potions to help you stay alive while you are disabling the spawner and filling in all the lava pits at the bottom of the Bastion. They saved me multiple times and I would not have wanted to go through this without having them.

After building it myself, I've got a few hints. First, if you find the lava too dangerous, there is a super safe way to avoid it. Simply get yourselves a piston and a button, and use it to push blocks into the ground until it won't move, for everywhere that the farm uses. You don't even get to see the lava before they are destroyed. Second, your don't really need 21 frogs. 18 can definitely do it. If you really use 21, build a bit larger area for the powdered snow and hoppers, otherwise the frogs easily get squeezed out of the farm. Third, don't enable the spawner when standing on the top. Even if you remove blocks from the bottom as suggested, magma cubes can still spawn in the blocks of the edge, jump up and attack you A half destroyed platform above powdered snow without an easy way out and with potentially a lot of magma cubes inside is not a safe place at all. Just break a few blocks from the corner of the farm and remove the blocks from there. Even if you get attacked, step back and you are absolutely safe again. Finally, don't expect the frogs to last forever. They will eventually get lost. Not sure what's the reason.

So I mostly made this farm with a single frog for a test run before I dedicate time to moving 21 frogs. I came back 30 minutes later to a kill chamber full of magma cubes and horrendous lag. Good news is the farm definitely works, just remember to get all 21 frogs. I'm hoping that by using so many frogs (which hopefully won't cause my console to lag a bunch either) they'll eat the magma cubes faster than they can spawn, keeping lag to a minimum.

only issue I found with this after the update came out is that the frogs can jump out of the pit, all I would suggest is either dropping the pit down by one, or adding an extra layer of blocks around the pit works fine too. haven't had any trouble with them jumping out anymore

Things that helped me build this farm: -having extra tadpoles. Bedrock glitched a frog or two out of existence when transporting them to the nether. -so many fire resistance potions. For me AND the frogs. My nearest treasure bastion is over lava and needed around 1,000 gravity blocks to make safe. I splashed my frogs with a fire resistance potion when working around them in case of a lava breach. -I built Silent's whole chunk slime farm and used that to quick grow up tadpoles to frogs in the nether. The other two I built a nether portal as close to the farm as possible and transported them to the relevant biomes (mountain top for cold green, prairie for regular orange). This made transport really, really easy. -I named all the frogs their lights so I knew how many had been put in by the remaining name tags. Overall a really easy farm to build, barring brutes and lava. Thanks Silent!

Okay so this farm works as advertised, but you have to make a few adjustments. I made the kill chamber 4x4 instead of 3x3. Also, frogs can jump up to 5 blocks high, so what i did was made the kill chamber on block deeper than Silent, and added a "lip" of one block on the magma spawner side on the top of the kill chamber. This is the most important part, you need to make sure there are NO magma blocks along the walls of your kill chamber. Basically make sure that there are no magma blocks that your frogs could ever touch. I noticed that sometimes when frogs would jump along the wall that had a magma block on it, they would take damage, even though it was along the side and they weren't touching it. Also, put your iron golem in last. I started breaking my glass blocks along the spawner exactly as Silent did, and magma cubes spawned with my golem and killed him. Break them as fast as you can, from the bottom up. Also, when you first get there, make sure to fill the entire lava lake around you with gravity blocks. Farm works amazing, and rates are great. Hope this helps somebody

I like how you've mentioned Iron Golem as a material 😂

Not sure if this is common in 1.20 but all my tresure bastions are floating above lava pools. So if you build this you might need a few fireresist potions and extra blocks to fill in the lava.
@silentwisperer9 ай бұрын
gravel can help you fill in lava:)
@NemesisMerlin9 ай бұрын
@@silentwisperer I just used potions and have nice glowing lava walls. I used some sand to expand out the kill chamber but half of that was on soulsand and that kept breaking my sand so just more potions to place solid floor then sand to remove lava. I striped the bastion so now I am building your Ghast farm in the top of the Bastion.

Other than my golem not wanting to go in the cart I was able to get this to work Thank you

I had this farm ready before 1.19 dropped. Haven't been able to play due to covid, kids' activities, the Stanley Cup Playoffs, and more, until now. So glad Silent got this out super early and I was able to build it waaaaay back when. Now... what the heck am I going to do with all these froglights? Hahaha!

Bro this farm works so well, thank you for the tutorial, im making like a modern neon city in my world and froglights are just things I need!

As always great tutorial. It works great but it was super annoying to get in place. Bringing over the frogs, cleaning the bastion and so on most annoying thing since searching for otherside haha.

In a long-term survival world, hassle early on usually turns into something worthwhile, especially with prepping farms! Stay strong fam!

If you're making this farm, I would recommend health pots, fire res, and great armor. Because for the first five minutes I was just getting relentlessly bullied. nearly broke my unbreaking 3 prot 4 netherite armor

Just noticed that the powdered snow blocks have been disappearing lately and needing to be replaced. Is anybody else having this issue? Frogs escape and it becomes chaos. Is it OK to put another layer of snow on top of the first snow layer?!

Building this and a cactus only because I need to decorate a slime farm that I’m building because I need 20 slime blocks. Long time project

Well the froglights are the only reason to build magma cube farms cause fire resistance and magma cream both can be easily obtained from piglins and each magma block vain in nether waste biome can have almost a stack of magma blocks.
@felipepp83522 жыл бұрын
will it work in a basalt biome? my friend killed the spawner:(
@_tradewinds Жыл бұрын
This is an absolute nightmare to build, all of the difficulty coming from the fact that you have to do it in survival. It doesn't help much to watch someone who's invincible and can fly building the farm You absolutely need fire resistance potions and probably ender pearls. You want to disable the spawner from the bottom up. Put blocks below it and lay out the bottom layer and then build the rest from where the magma cubes can't reach you. Do not fill in the lava with solid blocks or you will have a horrible time. Bring 5+ stacks of sand because when you dig down 10 layers as instructed lava floods in from every side if you don't fill it all.

This was actually quite hard for me to build as my bastion was over a lava lake so I had to drain all the lava with sand

Daaamn I just had like 2 layers of lava and it was a pain I cant imagine a lake.. at least you get a sick block in return for the effort

love this farm but I'm running into problems. 1st, I found myself replacing the lower half slabs with solid blocks and placing solid blocks next to the glass in the killing chamber. that prevents magmas from glitching thru the glass and killing the iron golem. 2nd, found my packed snow disappearing and letting my frogs escape and die. AFKed for about 30 mins, came back and I only had 5 frogs left from the 24 I had. don't know how to fix that?

This one took longer than the automatic azalea tree farm, the improved version. It was hell, but was worth it in the end!

I'm going to build this now, and wait for the frogs to be added. The frog lights look like a cool lighting block to be used in neon builds or futuristic builds!

FYI, beware of bastions on lava lakes. Yeah, apparently, they float on lava. My new bastion will require some sand or gravel to get the lower levels of the farm. With my luck lately, I should have expected this. 😆

I finally finished building this, and loading it up with all the frogs, and while removing the blocks around the spawner cage, magma cubes started spawning and I panicked and accidentally broke the spawner. Don't be like me, use invisibility potions.
