Love the effort you put into your videos. As someone with german backround i have to say that, in spite of our historic rivalry, wars and our personal biases, i have great respect for the Polish and their nation. I really engoyed my travels there. Poland has been a worthy rival across history. I hope that we can continue our future relations in a cordial way and that future conflicts be waged in a gentlemanly manner. + you gained a new subscriber:)

There was 800 year peace betwen Germany and Poland. Bad relations started first time since 1018, when Prussia declared independence from Poland and then still we needed to wait many years for first German Polish war. So there was a gigantic gap, and it was not always like this. Actually the first real war betwen our countries happend in 1939, so even more than 900 years of peace.

@@POGKPP Interesting way to look at it, never thought of it like this before. Surely a hopeful perspective. Let's hope that the geopolitical landscape doesn't change in a way that puts our nation's at odds with each other. I myself am a more nationalist/patriotic mindset than many others in Germany. Although I have to say that I'm not a Nazi skinhead type of guy nor do I vote for nationalist parties or give rants to my friends about it, I'm not THAT crazy XD. It isn't a important aspect of my life. I generally believe more in geopolitical realism and realpolitik than the average and if any nation shows any dynamism or growing power it tends to destabilise the status quo and in turn wants to change the system and its environment into one that benefits them more. As an example, we are beginning to see this again in today's world like with China or Russia's current attempts to gain a more secure and advantageous position for the dangerous decades that await the nation. Which means that unfortunately, nothing is built to Last, even peace in western Europe, and I have a gut feeling that Poles generally tend to see and understand this better than the people west of the Oder. We all have our biases and unconscious thoughts and intentions. I myself am partly of a background that is rooted in the former German lands of the east that now have been lost seemingly for ever. And I sometimes find myself wondering what would be if it didn't happen, if it wasn't lost and subconsciously falling into wishful thinking that maybe in the far future there would be a chance of it coming back. But we all know that if the current landscape doesn't change it would result in a big and cruel war that would displace people that would be living there for several generations and would want nothing to do with any historical perspectives or ambitions and just want to live their lives in peace. On the other side competition and wars have been a crucial motor in history for so many things, not only in the technological field. It is said for example, that one of the reasons for the west's rise to world dominance was that constant war and competition between the different nations created an environment that forced societies to be resilient and inventive in order to survive. If they had lacked aggression or will to expand, nations like Germany or Poland would not exist because everyone would have kept to their comfortable little state ir tribe and not built something bigger, the same applies to a nation like the US that literally genocided its way through an entire continent and in turn created arguably one if not the most powerful and greatest nations in history. Just imagine how the world would look like without the USA. History is confusing and messy and things unfortunately aren't as cut and dry as they seem. But thinking about this all day just makes oneself be more miserable and unpleasant and just leads to writing rants in KZbin comment section at night XD. It should not distract one from the important things in life. I hope I can return to Poland in the future I didn't see a lot as I wasn't that long a time there, but the southern region I visited around Krakow down to the Tatra mountains were very interesting and beautiful. Maybe I should take a look at the north or Warsaw next time🤔 Can't wait to see the new content you have in store for us👌🍀
