Hi, thanks for these videos. I have recently lost over 30 pounds and am in the process of doing alterations. Most of my golf tops or dresses are now gaping hugely at the underarms. I have done some by making the shoulder seam larger and taken inat the underarm. When you say make the dart larger, would that work for me/? these are all sleeveless tops. Any other suggestions would be helpful. I really love these units and do not particularly want to discard them.

cut the sleeve off and then take up the side seam to make the armhole smaller. Recut the sleeve and then put back in. Sounds complex but works well. I am assuming they are knits? Congrads on the weight loss!!

Hi Peggy, when making 195 into a kimono, how do you add the seam allowance to the top of the folded sleeve? Thanks so much

yes and blend to nothing at the shoulder seam.

If you have gaping at the back armhole…back only, what’s causing that and how do you fix it?

Angle of the shoulder seam....change it or it could be rounded back.

@@SilhouettePeeps I don’t have a rounded back but I do have sloping shoulders. Could that be causing it?
