Thank you for answering a question i have had for a while regarding sticky notes. Silhouette could not help me. I was not told they had to be saved in library. I usually save to my computer.

They are supposed to work if you save to the hard drive, but they never have for me.

The first tip is a lifesaver! I'm relatively new to this and have forgotten on a few occasions to check the send panel... fortunately, most of the time I've realised and just recut without unloading, but when I don't I end up wasting a sheet of cardstock, which is so fraustrating! Where do I find the sticky note feature? It looks really handy. Also, is there a way to save new materials to your account, so they synchronise on multiple devices? My designs sync, but not my cut settings for new materials.

The sticky note icon is right under the text button on the left-hand side of the screen. It looks like a piece of paper and pen. To save new material settings, you'll want to go to the send panel, open up the drop-down menu for materials. At the bottom, you'll find a blue box that says Add New Material Type. Then it'll be stored in that menu at the bottom under user defined.

Similar to how the library works, so that I can sync user defined materials across mupltiple devices? I guess maybe that isn't possible? It'd be a useful feature though! 🙂

Hi Brenda, is there a place to get a discount black Friday subscription to Silhouette design store? Mine will auto renew on the 23, but i would like to get it at a better price if possible. Thanks for all the work you do on the videos. Ps which version of sil. Are you using? I upgraded, but am having a lot of glitches. Currently using 4.4.945ssbe. I think 4.3 was where i didnt have problems, but i also couldnt use the export user created designs in that one.. its always something . Thank you!

I've never seen the subscription go on sale, unfortunately. I have a feeling they are going to discount designs and credit boosts, and the older model machines this year. I'm running the latest version of the software and have no issues, but if you're on a Mac, it's not compatible with Sonoma. Silhouette had said they would have a fix by mid November, but now they have changed that to ASAP. So, I guess we just need to hang in there.

You can use all of these tips with any edition of Silhouette Studio. I do love Business Edition, though.
