Hello! I have a huge problem where the cut will sometimes be 0.5 to 1mm off to the right or to the left randomly, and sometimes it’s perfectly centered. The calibration is perfectly centered and the lenght of the line too.

Hey Mal. Great video. I have a tip for you. You didn't mention it so I'm not sure if your aware. Instead of editing points to remove areas from your image, for example the opening on your L in hello. You can also release compound path and it will allow you to remove parts of your text you don't want. I use it all the time as sometimes editing the points can become a little cumbersome in my opinion. There are times when it's necessary but if I can avoid it, I do. Also I completely agree with you on print and cut. It worked perfectly for me when I first got my machine, then it never worked properly again. 🙄🤦 I've been researching the pixscan feature and based on what I'm seeing/reading, it basically eliminates the need for print and cut. I just got my pixscan mat in the other day. I haven't had a chance to try it out yet though. It would be great to see an advanced tutorial on that feature if you have knowledge/experience with. Just a thought. Thanks again for the tutorial. I picked up a few tricks along the way. 🥰

Please do a part 2!! I’ve had my Portrait 3 since September and it’s so overwhelming and frustrating!! I just would like to make a monogram AND cut it successfully but the fonts I’ve bought from Silhouette or FontBundles is just still confusing because mine never come out (if the machine decides to cut the vinyl that is!!) the way it looked in the thumbnail file!!

Hey lovely! Quick question, so today I purchased the business edition, now in the video at 3:20 you said that in order to work with SVG files you need to have the designer edition. Now since I bought the business edition, does that get skipped and make me be able to do that in business edition and work with SVG files? Or do I need to also purchase the designer edition as well, on top of my already purchased BE? You know what I mean? Haha I feel like I'm even confusing myself with what I'm saying 🤣

You don’t have to purchase designer edition! You’ll just skip right ahead ☺️ business edition should include all the benefits of designer edition!

@@madebymal_studio thank you lovely!! I cannot believe I've went this long without Silhouette Studio Business Edition. It's literally the best thing ever! (I have Cricut Design Space) which is nothing even close to comparable to Silhouette BE and all the absolutely amazing things it can do! I felt my business was missing something and that something was Silhouette BE haha... Having it sooner would have helped me a ton so long ago haha. Happy yo have it now! Going to take advantage of every bit of it! Please do a part 2! Even though this part one seriously covered so much, there is still so much to learn! ❤️ Thank you for posting this well detailed video! You rock!!

The one thing that takes a minute to learn this is that it is all gray buttons if they use colors would of been easier for me because my mind I can remember this color is this button next edition they need to add color buttons
