Your white paint “pillow” is very fluid. Did you add anything to that prior to pouring? I refinish furniture and am doing research trying to get a better understanding of how to work with acrylic paints, cells, and lacing and all the incredible techniques that are used. I know most people do this on canvas, which I will try tomorrow. I made a pouring medium of Mod Podge (MP) with half water and half MP. I over did it with the water accidentally so had to go with it. I mixed several different paints with the MP until I got a loose consistency then added silicone oil to each color. I poured on my base coloronto a piece of scrape wood then dollops of the paint because I wanted to smoosh a ballon into each spot. The whole thing was a bust. I then tried blowing it around with a blow drier and that made it worse. Not to mention, i got about 5 cells and I am sure that was just a fluke. I am going to try this on a canvas tomorrow. Any help or recipe suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Thanks for watching! ❤️ This painting was a PVA (Elmer’s glue-all) and water pouring medium done in a 60/40 mix. Then I added paint to get to the warm honey consistency. Currently I typically use a Floetrol pouring medium mixing 50% Floetrol 30% paint and 20% water. And of course add silicone for cells and this one used wood conditioner as well to get tons of cells. I haven’t tried mod podge as a pouring medium but I have some and have thought about trying it. If it works well you’ll see it here! Let me know how you make out with your project. I appreciate you watching! 🙏

Thank you for watching and the kind comment! Glad you enjoyed it! Absolutely happy to share - I use "Minwax" brand Pre-Stain wood conditioner. I only use a drop of two for 2-3 ounces of mixed paint. Good luck! And let me know if it works for you too!
