I havent had split end in almost 9 years. I got a slik press 7 years ago and she trimmed my hair chopped my shit off. Its nice seeing stylist do their job with care.

For sure. I just cut my mini box braids into a bob. Tomorrow I will go from bob to mini Afro to big Afro to silky natural bob. In this heat I will be back to mini Afro by morning. Someone please give tips on how to do this to yourself.

The real issue is trying to continue working out without sweating it out. Well spent money turns into a waste of money Oh well great job

True. But, it's possible. For me it was workouts that didn't leave me so sweaty. If I did sweat I just protected the edges that reverted easily and avoided the sauna when wearing my hair straight.

I was scared, because I sweat a lot. I use Bantu knots go to the gym, and before I leave the house take them down. Hair still straight, but mildly fluffy. The other thing is, oil your scalp. I use organic castor oil and oil between the bantu knows every 2-3 days.

If you’re a hairstylist. No one should come with anything but, their hair. YOU should shampoo, detangle, and condition. That’s what they pay you for.

@@Berth407 That is not always the case. If your hair is extremely matted and requires an extra 30 minutes to an hour to detangle, expect an up charge if you are there for anything other than to have your hair detangled. Time is money.

Using a dryer pick is not considered unprofessional. I was taught to do both, a brush or a pick long before some schools considered it “unprofessional.”

The only reason the teach against the pic is so we stylist can build our ticket...ie charge the client more. Most regular folks non stylist can't blow n brush like we the stylist can. So thats a extra 30 or more for us... but same results...😉 the choice is yours.. no argument 🌺
