💙 You have a great voice & tutorial style! I have just started silk pressing my own hair. Im currently using 350 heat, so it doesnt get super straight like this woman's gorgeous hair, and doesnt last long at all, but I am loving doing it. My hair is growing and feeling very healthy. I feel that the heat straitening is helping because its training the hair? I feel like my curl pattern is improving w/less knots, tangles, ect... Just sharing all of that for ladies/people who might be reading this and considering this technique to improve their hair. But I also increased my water and vitamin intake, my deep conditioning routine, and I also keep moisture on my hair, and use a biotin shampoo.

I went natural again and my hair touched humidity and reverted. Now in colder months my hair is more trained so I flat iron it and can leave it straight 2 weeks minimum but it will get a bit oily after 2 weeks so I rewash and flat iron. I love being a straight natural. Easy to detangle, do the same thing every time and it comes out cute no matter what every morning with minimal effort. I use the Olaplex line and LOVE IT. I'm as cheap as they come and I spent on Olaplex lol

Blue heart. I love to sal my hair with Blue Magic Castor oil grease and oil my scalp with light oils. Mostly, I wear crochet braids or my own short cornrows. I try not to go more than 4 months without a press and curl with a trim. My hair loves that! My last experience was really bad cuz the shampoo process was horrible. The lady didn't consult me about my hair, changed temps while the water was on my head, soaked my back and acted like I was wrong to ask for a new towel. Lastly, she also burned me the pressing scomb.zhe charged me extra cuz my hair was short. Never again!

@@diva0716 I bought everything on the Nairobi line. Biosilk was very expensive so I'll try it later. The Nairobi smokeless cream press and wax worked decently. I have a TYMO straightner but I think I need a regular hot comb for her hair. I also used hairspray (Paul Mitchell) afterward because once I wrapped it and put a bonnet on it overnight it puffed back up. I just use flexirods and a scarf so her scalp can breathe @night. Best results yet.

I moved to Miami a few months ago and refused to flat iron my hair cause the humidity. But I need some simplicity when doing my hair in the morning, so I'm giving it a try myself due to not having a stylist I trust yet. So it was great that you mentioned your method is humidity tested and passed😂 Edit: yes, the salon is def a relaxing experience. This is why I dislike when my stylist wants to talk. I know sometimes it can be boring and monotonous to do a silk press but I am relaxing from a long school week and I just wanna sit and relax for a few lol
