What a legend, you and Rufus did NZ proud. Interesting to see the gear - and looking forward to the movie. Obviously racing is the first priority, so I'm not expecting BAFTA's, but I'm sure it will be an eye opener.

Awesome effort. First time dot watching and it was gripping seeing you chase down Tom. Race video doesn't have to be slick. More interested in hearing what the experience is like and how you cope with pushing that hard. For example: the back up headphones. Didn't occur to me how critical music is on a race like this. Maybe you and Rufus can interview each other.

It looks like your rig has evolved in some sensible ways since your tour divide run. It looks a lot more comfortable and convenient.

You could auction the white "had it" top off for charity. Sure some bike shop would love to have it

JOE, HAVE YOU EVER FOUND OUT WHAT IS CAUSING YOU TO BLOW OUT YOUR QUAD? I SEEM TO HAVE A PROBLEM WITH MY RIGHT QUAD. JUST CURIOUS. LOVE THE VIDEOS.

no longer an issue after I changed to shorter cranks, mid foot cleats and wider shoes, good luck!

Congrats on the win. Which mid foot adapters are you using? I use the midfootcycling ones on my road pedals, and they're great. But the additional stack was crazy for their mtb pedal versions and made it unusable. Could also feel the whole thing flexing.
@joe.nationАй бұрын
using the mid foot cycling mtb adapters, I don't feel any flex on carbon soled shoes with the correct shim under the adaptor plate
@leonakadir3833Ай бұрын
when are you going to do cape epic?
@rogernicholson990Ай бұрын
Amazing race Joe. Great to follow your dot 😊 Did the midfoot cleat sort out your foot pain issues that you suffered from on the tour divide? I see you didn’t use the shimano PD-T8000 on SRMR?
@joe.nationАй бұрын
yeh I switched to shorter cranks, mid foot cleat and wider shoes, pain is now gone, cheers
