This is one of the most unique desserts that I’ve ever seen! And I learnt some new things. Please, more of chef Isabel🥰

I’ve been making flan forever with various family members teaching me their unique flan recipes and I’ve never heard of Corn Flan. I’m super excited to try this ! Thanks for sharing the recipe !!

This is almost exactly what I came here to write! I'd never heard of corn flan before. I just have to try this recipe. I'll probably pass the custard through a sieve, though, because I'm sure some of my family members won't like the texture otherwise. Excellent video.

Made this over the weekend and it was phenomenal! The corn flavor comes through very prominently and the dehydrated/powdered husk adds some nice, slightly bitter complexity to what is otherwise often a very one-note (although delicious!) dessert. My only "mistake" was not filling my water bath with boiling water (I used hot water from the tap) so the baking time was probably an extra 30-45 minutes. I also didn't have any corn syrup, so I just used sugar and water for the caramel and it worked out fine. Will definitely come back to this recipe again and use it as a template for some other flavor combinations!

Chefff haces ver todo súper effortless!! Que delicia, can’t wait to try this one out. Question: could you use the rest of the husk Powder to make tea infusions or what would you recommend using it for?

As a person with hearing deficit, I'd value her using a lapel mic or something similar. The room echo overwhelms her diction, particularly when she's speaking quickly.

Maybe get yourself some really good earphones (not earbuds)? Like Bose. I have a pair, and they really help with sound quality.
@edwardnixon17823 жыл бұрын
@@susangarland6869 Yes, I use really good headphones. That's why the room sound is so clear. A mic closer to the mouth eliminates most of that and makes the voice and diction cleaner -- no echo.

Did you just put used tongs back into your clean utensil crock?
@rodrigohenriquez6293 жыл бұрын
This is why I hate haters. WHO CARES ABOUT USED TONGS???? Don't you see the main purpose of the video? Go and see your own utensils in your own kitchen, they are of your business.

Looks like that crock is set up for just this project, same as her mise en place is. I do likewise, and then wash everything in it once I’m done. Some (like me) do not keep all their tools on counter in a crock - they keep them in draws and on racks preferring clear surfaces.
