Paint with me | Watercolour Square Tile Designs

Paint a page of square tile designs with me. These were inspired by the patterns on Portuguese Tiles. I've got a pinterest board of tile patterns for inspiration that you can see here: pin.it/7n8GYDd
In the video, I share some pencil sketches of different tile designs, then choose my favourite three for my watercolour project.
This project is part of my season of art tutorials themed around drawing, painting and printing patterns. These projects are for personal use only. Please do not sell any work copied exactly from my tutorials (though taking inspiration and developing it your own way is always encouraged!) and please credit me if you post work online that you've made from following a tutorial or using my downloadable line work.

Glad you’re feeling better! The tiles really have the feeling of Portugal! I have found that Stonehenge doesn’t hold up to scrubbing or masking or erasing very well. It is lovely feeling, though. Look forward to seeing the block printing!

Gorgeous - hope I have time to try this over the weekend! I just got a couple new tubes of paint that need a "test drive"! I think you'd have had a little better luck with the edges by using the blunt edge of the craft knife (instead of the sharp cutting edge). I've been using a plastic palette knife to remove sheets from blocks and it was a good ($2 USD) "investment" - maybe give that a try. I haven't had this trouble with Stonehenge Aqua, but I haven't used that block of paper much yet; hey - maybe I'll use it for the tile exercise this weekend! Lovely tiles, l gave up with Stonehenge paper for exactly the same reason. X
