I've had my ultra accel for a year and it's honestly the best money I spent this coming from a proffesional landscaper with 15 yrs experience

For back packing, and hunting I really love the Silky Pocket Boy 170 for the least amount of bend for length and have multiple Large medium and fine blades even one curved for mine. So many uses, fine is great for bone or very hard dry wood fine cuts. I use the medium mostly for hard dry woods. Also the 130 will take the 170 blade size.

Out of all videos comparing ultra accel, this is my most liked. Many thanks! I ordered one to use for my Solo Titan woodburner what is completely unnecessary, but I wanted something nice, good quality and affordable. Will take on my kayaking trips if I have to clear path over broken trees.

I think the curve allows to cut round objects faster because more teeth are in contact with this object.

Accurate review my friend. Exactly what I was looking for in a video. I'm on the fence with the straight blade and the curved. It does come down to personal preference, but most of my cutting will be below the waist line with downed trees. As you point out, the curved is more universal. I don't want to buy both to find out. I'll take your word on it. Thanks

6:00 That sound is pure Silky. I really love my Bigboy 2000 and Pocketboy (curved). All of your Silky saws have unique tooth sizes. My Bigboy is the Black handle and my Pocketboy is the Yellow handle. IIRC the black is a finer tooth and yellow is medium. I think the red is a coarse tooth? @silkysaws have some great demo's of the differences in tooth size.

I feel like the ultra in outback edition would be perfect. In lieu of that, the Outback version of the Big Boy is hard to beat.

Just the video I was looking for. You compared all 3 saws I was looking at. I think you have me sold on the Accel. The Bigboy 2000 is too large and unnecessary for what I need it for. I also like the curved blade over the straight of the Gomboy 240 as it seems more versatile. Great review, Thanks.

Great video thanks. I know that the bigboy yellow extra large teeth are not a effective on dry wood. Large or smaller teeth on the bigboy saw may have performed better. You testing may still be accurate but I do not have the experience to know. I think the difference is not enough to justify a big long saw when packing it if you do not to cut real big logs. Right tool for the job. And how often it is used is a consideration before spending lots of money if you do not have extra cash. If you have lots of cash buy them all use what you like best and gift the rest to people in need.

I actually picked that up for $35 on Amazon this winter. It was on sale for quite a while. I'm looking forward to putting it to use when everything thaws out.

35,that's a steal! I think you'll be impressed with what it can get done.

You were definitely out of breath on the second speed test you can see that on your hand movements and it took you a while to compose your self after the cut I can’t understand why people who have no idea about saw making can tell someone who has been making saw for nearly 100 years that they are wrong maybe you should say this is how I feel about the saw and I need to master it more. Good luck on your next review
