Silos VS Full body Decoys (OUR OPINION)

If you are running traffic, you need to have lots of decoys and a lot of full bodies and floaters and mix in silhouettes. I’ve had plenty of good hunts hunting fields that there were no geese in the week before but there were geese a quarter of a mile away. I would recommend putting out 75-100 decoys if you’re running traffic for a lot of geese but if you don’t have a lot of geese, I would still say 50 should be out no matter what but should be 100%-70% floaters and full bodies But if you’re hunting somewhere where the birds have been and are going to be, doesn’t matter what you put out, they’re gonna come in. Now, if you’re hunting a field or water with over 300 geese just load up on decoys everything you got. Hope this helps.

@@AustinMiller44 Thank you for your feedback. As we grow our spread and get older we will definitely get more full Bodies and floaters. We are young and this was our first year goose hunting and we are mainly duck hunters. In our spread next year we will have 5 dozen silos, 2 dozen socks, 1 dozen floaters. We want to get full bodies however we are going to focus on duck hunting and will slowly add to the spread when we have the money.

I know what your saying I didn’t goose hunt till I was 18 and didn’t have a great spread until I was 25 it’s takes a while to figure it out
