This game is amazing! Me and my big brother used to play the original on the sega cd back in 1994 or so. Had no idea this game existed until recently. One of the best shooters ever imo

Don't think 🤔 the game did that great on original release and it was released at a budget price I think the game is very underrated I still have a PS2 copy

There is; the closer you are to the enemy, the bigger the multiplier when you destroy 'em. It gets dropped to x1 if you get hit

Can you do Darius Gaiden with 2 players in A-C-F-J-O-U-V' Zone please? Make sure 1P (Red) gets a higher score than 2P (Blue), and also 1P gets a power up first.

Do you mean P1 Red gets fully powered up before P2 blue? (meaning they both pick up but P1 should get priority)

I didn't pay much attention to the English voiceover back when I played it on my PS2, but listening to it again now it sounds almost as if it's a planet colony inhabitate entirely by Jamaicans or something.

Are you doing this gameplay on a ps2 console? Because I cannot get my graphics to look anywhere close to as crisp as yours on my ps2. Is it an upscale pc emulator? Or native ps2?

This was done on an emulator. There are ways to make it look better, but only emulators can make it look this good because of internal upscaling.

Have Silpheed on Mega CD & PS2. Would love a new version on PS5. Imagine Unreal 5 engine visuals. Hey I know it happen. Not in this shit fest industry obsessed with open world copy & paste unfortunately. Gorgeous rail shooters like this are long gone sadly.
