When I saw the thumbnail for this video, I instantly thought of Efteling's Baron 1898 dive coaster. It definitely fits that description with the steampunk Victorian theming you'd see on the real coaster, and Planet Coaster 2 looks very realistic.

Technically the lens effect is unrealistic, because we're supposed to be looking from a guest's perspective, not a camera - but it does look cool 🤓

I think a cool final element to the ride would be for the drop track to stop in front of a representation of the sun, sort of saying "You made it!", and then adding flames and dropping the track to simulate burning to death lmao

The added benefit of the model cannon being bigger than the full size cannon, is the psychological effect on guests. The full size cannon will probably feel bigger after seeing its smaller (but extended) counterpart.

After having struggled with the UI for way too long and being a bit underwhelmed I was debating giving up and sticking with PlanCo1 earlier, but this really did show me that the new mechanics can allow you to make some great stuff that was not possible before in the new game. It is beautifull, i just started to try and build things myself with not having a lot of experinces outside of some survival games. I figured it might take some time for me to build some satisfying blueprints myself which is kind of difficult due to limited time to play around with the mechanics in the game. Seeing people do some amazing builds is discouraging and inspiring at the same time. One of the best blueprints i've seen so far, congrats, i really love it.😅

Of all the content I've seen for PlanCo2 leading up to release today, this definitely seems like the best showcase of what the game can do--the lighting engine makes that launch cannon look incredible, the custom animatronics make that orrery possible, and the game's front-and-center aquatic theme gets put to some awesome creative use. Amazing work with this!
