Love it. I had the idea of marble on each side and maybe a greenish kind of dirty pour in the middle. At least that’s how I’d like to do my countertop. Love it can’t wait to try it.

Did you spread your base coat with your hands or what is the best way? I got titanium white from ATD for my base. That’ll be ok, right? I’m going to play around with colors before I pour. White, pearl, silver and gray…and some diamond dust. I have blue also but not sure if I want to add a tiny bit or not

Yes just with my hand very gently. It moves super easy so no pressure is needed. And yes all the ATD colorants will work beautifully with this product.

Is it FDA approved? Does it resist heat, what temperature? What about scratches? I couldn’t find what this product was made out of on their website.

The components of the combined product are FDA approved. Heat resistant up to 475. Scratch resistant as well. I did durability testing this weekend. Just need to edit my videos.

Flood coat is up to you but most counters I will do a flood coat and then topcoat.

Does this epoxy not stain easily? Usually epoxy countertops stain SO easily. If even a bit of carrot juice drips off your cutting board you’re going to have a permanent orange stain.. is it the same with this product?

Can you use foam roller, if so will be any difference? Was thinking no lint.

Yes absolutely and you'll see I use them in some other videos as well. I like both really but intend to go back to the ones in this video. I find once they are primed with material they push better. But I suggest you try both and see what you like.

You mention about clear coat, are you referring to top coat or art coat?

I'm referring you to a clear flood coat of PolyKote to add an extra layer of protection and dimension. Then we finish with the SP Elite topcoat for durability.

@@ArtisanDesignConceptsthank you a lot. Can I ask a couple of more questions please. 1. My countertops are 60 square feet, they sell less only 2 gallon buckets. The description says it will cover 50 square feet. Do you think I can still cover or it’s better to buy 4 gallons? 2. Can I mix any epoxy related pigments, paint, diamond dust with polykote product or only their own pigments? 3. I don’t see the flood clear coat on their website, maybe it has a different name. 4. You mentioned in one of your videos that no need to tape the edges of the countertop however I see that polykote a bit liquid. Do you still recommend not using tape and if tape is okay to use how soon should I take it out? Thank you a lot.

Would this product work to do a dam and a dirty pour?

Not really. I've found that you can achieve a very similar look using the roller and no damning needed. When I've tried a dirty pour, the colors mix too much in the cup.

@@ArtisanDesignConcepts - makes sense. I need to apply it on an in-place countertop with a 4" rounded-edge backsplash that cannot be removed. Would it work? Or do you think it's too fluid to work on a vertical surface?
