Wonderful video…Thank you so very much for highlighting Tranquilbuzz.

Thanks for dating this video. You gave me a sly grin with recommending the cafes/hot spots "if you're ever in the area." Yes, Silver City is a favorite place for us but it's not a stumble-upon place - you gotta WANT to go there. Peacocks have a certain danger about this - keep an eye out for any peacocks in trees that you might walk under. Their poop can be the size of a tomato. A REAL splat and can have a 'shrapnel' effect of several yards-!

Retirees who want to get away from it all can find Silver City that pleasant respite. They have a good hospital (Gila Regional) that has limited oncology services but all other retiree-centric healthcare has been maintained. But New Mexico's still a poor state. The Western NM University might be a core State-Funded center but mining (well outside the town) remains their cash-crop.

I don't know if you are still doing this channel. However this video gave me hope and i want to go to Silver City and the coffee shop and then on to the Faywood hot springs resort. I thank you for this brief window into my future travels

I lived in Silver City for 10 years - it's a little slice of paradise - visit there - move there - it's amazing !!

I hope Tranquil Buzz is still there. Silver City was my "cooling off" retreat from Las Cruces. The poor man's resort.

Silver City is very unique, however are the local artists making a living or just scraping by?
@bitfenix903 ай бұрын
Like most artists, "getting by" would be my suspicion because there is almost no 'passing thru' traffic. You really gotta want to go to Silver City - it's not a place drivers happen by. But the college and murals are certainly draws. And the downtown 'trails' are wonderful to go along with a variety of eateries. The best question (and probably no answer is possible) is how many inns and eateries are hosting return-visitors?

We love “Enjoy the Journey Cafe”. They just announced they are closing. So sad. Don’t know what is headed into the space. The Tranquil Buzz is AWESOME!

Just came back from there and unless you like very poor, old and unmaintained towns for the most part, don't go! There ARE a few spots, but the town is still struggling with street people everywhere just trying to make it thru each day, God bless them. That's the realty of Sliver City!

Silver city has turned into hippies, gangs and crime. No longer the same😢
@tranquilbuzz Жыл бұрын
What is wrong with hippies?
@timothy7497 Жыл бұрын
The town is the gateway to 3 million acres of national forest. Go kiss a bear.
@ajyoung45309 ай бұрын
@@tranquilbuzz its the wanna be hippies. There’s a ton of stuff that’s messed up about the ones that are here … mostly ….. real quick to talk about being super basic and look down on some people that choose to wear designers ….. they don’t want to take showers … so they as a majority stink real bad… and you just smell oils they use to cover it up…. Smug looks on the way you dress and what you drive…. They never brush their kids hair… and then… low key… they all got an iPhone in their pocket lol. 3:20 and this is one of the worst places for crime right here …. And it’s where they find the homicides and suicides and drug over doses…. So you literally just walk on the ground that a few people died on…. 4:12 amd faywood is extremely over priced .. under worked …. Under cared for and they are very nosey…. And please believe me when I say that there are pedophiles that go there as well. There was a time this place was kinda nice sorta when it comes to the human aspect of things. ……… now it’s not…. You can walk in … you don’t need a reservation …. But be ready to be over charged…… Not even close to as nice as this lady makes it out to be with just her own personal experience…. Stay longer… you’ll find out 😂😂😂😂😂

Sounds like a very liberal city. Ugh
@michaelfisher71707 ай бұрын
its a nice place. diverse political outlooks. not really "liberal" or "conservative" over the top nonsense. what in this video gave you the idea it was "liberal"?
@bitfenix903 ай бұрын
@@michaelfisher7170 Because It saw there is art and happiness. Good food. Great trails and scenery. The vinyards are top-notch but, alas, one has to educate ("ask locals") one's self - shopowners and innkeepers are a good starting point. This requires friendliness, a surefire sign of liberalism.
