I don't think I have ever seen one of these stories that doesn't cleanse my soul and put a smile on my face. Great job guys!! I've passed up that way many times but on 287 headed through Amarillo from Dallas. Next time we will make a point to go this way and stop by both the rest area and if possible the museum.

Back in the late '70s I took my new Canon AE SLR out there it capture the sunrise. Took lots of pictures and went home to Lubbock. The camera was stolen from my apartment before I got the film out of the camera, so I never knew if my shots were any good or not. But I do remember the sunrise was beautiful.
