It´s always tricky for a dealer getting political. Whatever you are saying, you´re getting some enemies...Mistress Sherrie might be an exception, because folks accept her being straight. People wait for gold or silver to go way up, but please, don't get your hopes up. When everyone tries to dump their gold or silver at a high price, you need to manage your expectations. Dealers end up with way more inventory than they need, and they will offer you far below spot for both gold and silver. Just because the spot price shoots up DOES NOT mean that you will be able to unload it at that price. Oh, and forget about recovering any premium that you paid. It makes no difference whatsoever if you're selling silver eagles or silver rounds, or other sovereign silver; if a dealer is loaded up, you WILL NOT receive anything but an offer under spot.

I'm glad premiums are down for some, but here in my state, nope. My local LCS wants a 6.00 premium on American Eagles, and huge premiums on 90%, 1 oz bullion coins and huge premiums on gold bullion coins.

@@TtheSilverStacker CT. Plus they charge you tax here for buying ANY bullion, coins or bars. So it's hard to buy something anyways without paying a rather large premium over spot for anything. We plan on moving in a couple years, but that doesn't help me now, LOL. Oh well...

I've been enjoying the low premiums on double eagles. They seem to be going up even more recently, at least on the graded mint state ones. I had the thought back with the SVB collapse and MS63 pre-33 double eagles went to like 40% premiums that I should sell what I had but I didn't. Could have bought it all back and then some more.

By that logic, if you really do have more stock than demand, lower price; instead of selling to the refiner for lower just put it in a room and I'll come get it for the same price you'd sell it to the refiner for.

PLEASE don't ever sell Gold/Silver and Define it as an "Investment". I have been a Financial Advisor for 30-years and I'm here to tell you that if the Government/SEC steps-in to regulate gold and silver, the industry and coin dealer's would be done for. Compliance/Regulations = Disaster!! The absolute Beauty about Gold and Silver is the fact that it's currently an unregulated industry. Let's do everything we can to keep it that way...TRUST ME on this one!

Sadly, either extreme in politics won't get us to where we want to be. We need to get to a place where we can work things out together. The markets will not like Trump as he will cause uncertainty, so gold will likely rise. Harris will be better for the markets, including the industrial side of silver. So it is a mixed bag as far as PMs are concerned. I don't wish bad things just to see PMs rise, heck, my retirement and most people's retirement is in the stock market. That wouldn't be good. I wish Trump would follow Biden's lead out of the race. We really need to get younger and back to working on what is best for everyone and the country. We don't need more division and hate. Hold on for the ride!
