The car was a work of art. This is juvenile detritus, not art.

@toasty132410 жыл бұрын
Zia Kalyan i don't think so. You can't blow up a car with gasoline, that won't work. It would be too risky puring gasoline on a car while standing on it. I think they had something in the back of the car what have made the explosion and the fire ball.
@Aditzu2110 жыл бұрын
Cloud Production Obviously they had explosives. And yes, that was water. Lack of attention to details. The car went down for nothing. Just kids with money doing silly things.
@ronoconnor391010 жыл бұрын
Do you suppose they blew the budget on the car and had nothing left over for fake gasoline? Even if I thought blowing up a Rolls was art, I'd like to see the "art project" done with some level of quality. Oh wait! Now I get it. I know what the artist was going for: "Let's destroy something of top quality in a really poor quality way." You know, juxtaposition and all.

As a Rolls Royce enthusiast, I feel deeply sad for people who don't give a toss about what they are actually destroying, forever. That old shad is not coming back, and it's heartbreaking to see an actual piece of art just vanish into the flames ignorance. I address this to you Tyler Shields, for whom I feel have failed to see the picture outside the boundaries of your lens.

TaxTheRich is really good in my opinion, because cars are made for using, but this is not how a car should be used. This is retarded. It's all about views. He thinks that he will get millions of views, and will gain more money he spent on the Rolls. What's next? A 250 GTO?

Did you hear in the video that the images from this were created for an art gallery? If you've watched any of his interviews, you'll know somewhat of what his goal in mind as an artist - not chasing likes or views, but getting the viewer to question the work, to be wowed by the print when viewed in person and appreciate it for what it is. The car may have been destroyed, but lives on in a greatly improved way than just sitting in someone's garage, never to be driven again because it's viewed as too precious. Art is meant to do all these things and is not always agreeable, which is fine. But, it is indeed art. No arguing about that imho.

You just burned a rolls royce. I feel that gives you a curse or something.... it shouldn't be done... Ever. That was a legend. Now its dead. You killed it. Murderer.

If this video had a deeper meaning such as "breaking away from materialistic attachment" then I would understand why they blew up a Silver Shadow. This however, is simply all eye candy and no more than a Michael Bay style explosion. As a person who admire cars, I find this offensive.

So, pouring gasoline over a car, blowing it up on slow motion and adding one of the most overused music ever is art? That car *was* superior to any piece of crap art you will make on your lifetime, if you keep doing stuff like this.

@causeand3ff3ct3 жыл бұрын
Impermanence, perhaps? This car could have been stowed away in someones garage, to possibly never be driven again, perhaps destroyed in an earthquake or some natural disaster and then forgotten about. Or, it could have been given one last, epic moment of glory, as it has been, and then in that moment, captured in a still image that can be printed, framed and hung up on a wall lasting a lifetime?

Actually there is a clear automotive fuel that's highly flammable above all others. Its used in NASCAR racing and is dangerous for burning a flame that's so hot, it's clear and invisible when a puddle of it is lit.

JIE-HAAAW ! What a CAR ! What a magnificent way to END it's life as a car ! Just about any car crash seems ridicule compared to this GRAND FINALE. As most of the viewers of this video, i LOVE BEAUTIFUL CARS, but hey, this video is about transience of life ! And honestly, i think it enhances the beauty of this car, just by showing it can be over in a whisper.
@kennedycao511810 жыл бұрын
To end the life of a classic car, you nail it on a plint and make it an immortal decoration, not burn it. Also, the car is not dead as long as it can be restored, and the Rolls Royce is NOT DEAD before this prick set it ablaze, he bought it from a dealer as a still working car. Also, please enlight me where the fuck is that "transience of life" crap you are talking about ?
@daGregoirski10 жыл бұрын
Kennedy Cao Hey there, in my humble opinion, the beauty of a CARS is not like expensive painting you hang up your wall. These cars are made to KICK ASS, wether it's burning rubber, cruisin' in style with the windows open, having the time of your life diving from the roof into the ocean, or, why not = EXPLODE in a blaze of dynamite ( even after some chick threw water on it ; ) ! You have to admit these images were BEAUTY, and with that soundtrack ! I know, tastes and colours ... But ONE THING is shure = i would prefer to live my life like this CAR then to be locked up in some guys garage, nailed on a plint like a stuffed animal, to be polished 3 times a week and NEVER be DRIVEN AGAIN. That's the point ! Both cars will never be driven again. But there's only one who really lived. And as to "enlighten" you with my hippy-transcience-bullshit, i chose the awkward word to express = NOTHING's FOREVER . Rolls Royce may give you that impression, but you can't catch & cann the moment, you can only LIVE it. And Kennedy, really, if i EVER get my hands on a BEAUTY like this, i will call you, we'll make a roadtrip together, and then we can decide what to do ; )
