Yeah honestly that's very concerning, the fact you paid alot of money for a hood and the quality they provided to you... Really upsetting. This definitely will make people think twice before ordering one of these. But it's good if you have the tools and know how to correct their flaws.

looks nice, however i wouldn't have kept the hood coming from a shop in the pisspoor condition it came in. shoddy workmanship. glad you have the ability to tackle those issues and make it better. Love your family helping out as well.

I bought one of those hoods for my previous Dodge Ram. COMPLETE JUNK! As you can see, it will NEVER fit perfectly like it should. Kudos to your commitment to making their junk hood right! I would have sent that thing back! Why Don't you sell me that Areo Skin Nose piece? I am in Round Rock and will drive to pick it up :)

Brother I just had to tow my new 22 Silverado to the dealership. Engine gave me a low oil pressure warning w/turn off engine command. Then it started knocking like it slipped a bearing. Super upset. Had to come here to feel better lol keep up the cool videos

I bought a hood for my c5 corvette from CarID. Worst experience!! 3 hoods had to be sent before I got a DECENT one. Still had some scratches and a small crack “carbon fiber”. Will never buy a hood again so I went with the scoop only on my trail boss and had it painted. Love it

I had a 19 Trail Boss I just traded for the refreshed 22 Trail Boss Midnight edition with the 6.2L. Same deal, dealer gave me for than I paid for it over 2 years ago and I got the new one at MSRP. I'll wait for a steel one. I had a Fiberglass cowl induction hood on a 1993 Chevy and it flexed and shook at speeds above 60 MPH. I ended up replacing it with a steel cowl induction hood and it was rock solid. I under stand some Mfg are better then others. But that's just my experience.

The hood looks good on the truck. You should wrap it with Black Carbon Fiber . Finally after 10 1/2 weeks, I got my 22' Refreshed Silver Ice 6.2l LT Trail Boss . It is really nice, the camera system is un real. The first thing is to remove the chrome Z71 badge for a Black/Red replacement. All other emblems are Black already.

Good stuff! I wouldn't expect any better quality from other aftermarket fiberglass or injection molded parts though. Your hood is actually one of the better cases I've seen regarding craftsmanship. I've dealt with poor fitment where extra material had to be added and shaped in order to fill body gaps. It's like these companies are pushing volume knowing there's a market for these parts.

I have that exact hood on my 21 Jackal Silverado. Looks great but with it being fiberglass it shakes really bad when driving!! People pull up beside me and say “dude your hood is going to fly off” Cant wait to see you do a video on how to install hood pins!!

aFTERMARKET HOODS are a pain in the but, I have a amerihood with ram insert as well. They never lock or fit properly and you can never get them to not shake while driving

Almost all dealerships do this. Just a way to sell more vehicles. Usually it’s something along the lines of “we have a shortage of said vehicles and we would like to buy it back” as a former salesman man we did this all day long on prior customers

I'm sorry if I spent $1,000 on a freaking Hood It better be perfect. I would send it back tell and have them send a new perfect hood. I wouldn't settle for the damaged Hood just to make video content. I honestly think the OEM Hood looks much better sorry just my opinion.

All of these modifications on these vehicles and then comes...............the refresh! Not worth it unless you gonna keep them. The new interior alone on the refresh would make me trade mine in. And if you get a new trail boss or ZR2, the hood is already included. But with that being said truck looks good.
