Don't know about McLaren's specifically, but you get a warning light at only 4lbs low on a Porsche. Doesn't take long from dropping tire pressures after a couple sessions to get the light. It's all about getting the proper pressure at the end of the session, not where you start. Sometimes you have to start with a low # to get to the ultimate pressure at the end. One yr at Indy it was hot so I was bleeding off pressure throughout the day. We also had 2.5 hrs between sessions so the tires cooled off. On the grid for the last session my dash said my left rear was flat (7lbs low). I opened the door and looked - not flat but low from a day's worth of deflating. By the end of the session it was at the ideal pressure.

Considering these cars are not restricted by any regulations I would say yes they are capable.

The big dawgs think it can do a 1:59-2:00 flat at COTA. This car didn’t have a setup on it, had a passenger, traffic...so I’m sure I had a clean 2:05-2:06 in there. It’s possible for sure but only with insurance lol

Mclaren claims that this is faster than a gt3 car. It is easier and more forgiving for sure, but on low speed tracks who knows?

Great driving. Looks planted...what an awesome sort of race cars. What was that event owners bringing their own cars or what? vulcan, bac mono, ford gt, amg gt3, bunch of porsche etc. Were you the fastest car out there?

roletnabih thanks man, car didn’t even have the proper setup on it yet and really rewards you if you under drive it. Smooth is fast in this car...it’s our Trackrat group. We are a Texas based group of track friends, we have a really neat list of vehicles in our bunch. I was the fastest :)

I honestly haven’t piloted the P1 GTR, yet! But I have a ton of laps in the P1 and I have a good idea what it would be like. This one is much lighter but doesn’t have the same power curve, of course. I believe the Senna GTR has more drag as well... I would say the Senna is really on its toes compared!

It was actually going 176.8mph, Speedo is reading the wrong sensor. Car has ton of aero drag at high speed but gearing seems fine.

I wonder if there is a track where the 7th speed could be used to top revs. Because of that i am wondering if the gear ratio could be shorter to improve acceleration a little bit.

Top end really suffers with all that downforce. 720s is faster down the straight. Needs1000hp.

@@AdamTobolowsky I would actually like A Senna to have Koenigsegg level of power. As far as I can see, the car is super stable, the light weight means it's actually quite a bit faster than a Moto GP bike in the corners and doesn't move around like the P1 GTR does. Someone actually compared the Senna gtr to Marquez on his bike! Given the times a professional driver can set, I think the Senna can lap the track just as fast as a Moto GP bike. Or Faster if there are lots of corners involved.
