On Dec. 11, the Tar Heels introduced legendary NFL coach Bill Belichick as their newest head coach. Tom Brady was reported talk to Bill Belichick on his thoughts how to land an Head Coach. Bill Belichick always wanted control being GM and coach. It will be interesting to see if Raiders offer the GM and HC jobs to get him to commit to both position. I liked Telesco too but to make a big move for Ben Johnson you have to offer GM and HC position too

@@SIlverBlackTodayWhy do you think it’s doubtful? Do you think he’s going somewhere else or staying in Detroit? I think a the QB makes Chicago a decent option, but Jags kept their terrible GM. Pats are locked in on Vrabel, so feels like the Raiders have a shot with Korn Ferry and TB12 leading the search. I also love the idea of Monken if we don’t get Ben Johnson. I think Ben is drawing up some impressive schemes, but Monken has been a successful OC and I like the identity they have created in Baltimore. It would also be sweet to pluck a GM from the Ozzie Newsome tree. Can we “Just win baby” the 2025 off season please? 😂 We need to get this GM and HC hire right. I cannot deal with the revolving door anymore.
@murfdizzle4shizzle2 күн бұрын
@@SIlverBlackToday I’m not sure someone who can actually develop talent hates what they have seen from AOC. Sure, he’s not a superstar, but is he less talented than TB12 his rookie year? Does Ben Johnson view him as physically or mentally less capable than Jared Goff, or just less experienced and in need of quality and consistent coaching? I’m not suggesting he is the answer, but I’m not out on him. I think he is interesting and would like to see him with a good offensive mind in the building. There are some intriguing qualities, so it would not turn me off to work with AOC for year, especially since next year the QB class is deeper and has some guys with bigger upside. The defense can be outstanding with good coaching and a couple pieces. We have young talent on offense that is collecting dust because of previous coaching staffs. Ben Johnson is a unique talent who understands how to use talent. Guys like Reid, McVay, O’Connel, Johnson, and others probably look at the rosters a bit differently. They don’t need to tear it all down to be successful. They add pieces and squeeze the most out of everyone they have.

Organizations who manage football have to make running the football more important than how much charisma your GM has. I think AP was under qualified, for sure. Still, I’m curious how y’all think this team would have looked, and how he would be viewed, if we got him a QB (Daniels, Penix, or even McCarthy) and the OC he wanted in Kingsbury? Telesco was a big part of the failure, so I’m glad he’s gone. This past year was tough sledding for a guy with AP’s experience. We all knew it would be and Telesco didn’t do much to help him out. No linebacker coach is turning down an opportunity to be a HC, especially for your favorite team. Let’s be real. We needed to move on, but wish AP the best. This is why I think the new focus on organizational alignment is promising news for the Raiders. Hopefully it puts an end to the revolving door and the disjointed feel of the vision for the team. It feels very much like they couldn’t figure out if they were competing or rebuilding the past several years, which led to many questionable personnel decisions. Just my thoughts. Go Raiders. 💪🏻

Taking Dart at six should get you fired on the spot! They should linebacker tackle you on the way to the podium and steal the card so they can write in a real top ten prospect before the clock hits zero.
@TruthsfinestКүн бұрын
Correct Dart at 6 should get you fired and I wasn’t implying we should do that. I was mentioning only what Kiper said in his last mock. If it were me I would take Abdul Carter at 6, but since he should be gone I would go Malaki starks or possibly banks depending on his measurables. Round 2 I go dart, and round three best be RB available like a Trevion Henderson. Next second rounder a Lb like stutsman or top guard on our board left.

I think firing Tom Telesco without securing a new Head Coach "First" was a huge mistake, for it implies further instability within the organization. With the exception of letting Josh Jacobs go, hiring Getsy, and bringing in Minshew, Telesco did an outstanding job in the NFL Draft, in addition to ensuring our salary cap situation is one of the best in the NFL. If anything Davis should have waited unless he was assured that a HC prospect guaranteed they would sign with the Raiders "first", not all head coaching prospects have required that they bring in their own GM with the exception of Ben Johnson. And I don't think Johnson is a shoe-in, in terms of being a good Head Coach. He may be a great OC but it remains to be seen that he can be a great HC. Vrabel is and we're not even interviewing him, he hasn't signed with New England, we should have brought him in for an interview. The fact that we haven't tells me the Raiders will blow it in some aspect once again.
@Curbstomperr5 күн бұрын
They wouldn't be able to secure a top head coach without firing him first
@TopBeatz005 күн бұрын
@@Curbstomperr That's BS, you don't fire your GM unless you have a requirement by the incoming HC of him wanting his own GM. Not every HC prospect requires it, nor is it always a good idea to implement. You should only fire a competent GM when there's no other way to bring in the HC you want to lead the team. Meaning you fire him "After the Fact", not before. To do so BEFORE you find a candidate only serves to convey further instability within organization to other candidates. Ben Johnson is the "only" head coach prospect that's made that request. And he's not a proven HC at all, there's plenty of former OC's who were great OC's that turned out to be shitty Head Coach's. Brian Dabol is a perfect example of that.
@Mar-ri2iq4 күн бұрын
Man Telesco hasn't done anything Bowers fell in his lap, if other teams knew what he would become he would have been selected higher. Powers Johnson fell to him also. He hasn't gotten ahead of the Moerig, Hobbs, Koonce, Butler, Spillane or Meyers Free Agency contracts ! it's not like they didnt have the money to extend at least two of them. then you let Jacobs walk, you don't add another year to Kingsbury contact proposal so he walks away from you you bring in Minshew for 25 Million to pair with AOC who is no better, you don't pick up a quality RB. then you bring in Getsy who just got fired a few months ago all the while throwing your Head Coach under the Bus to deal with the Bullchit that you gave him to work with. You don't move up in the draft to draft a Quarterback which you know is the Biggest hole on the team. Your losing all season and your pushing your Coaches to win two Meaningless games which knocks you out of the #1 pick in the draft. So give a reason why he shouldn't have been fired ! I'll wait if You think that Telesco was doing a descent job and should have been retained to oversee this draft and the second most available cap space in the NFL then you have low expectations and that way of thinking is why the Raiders are where they're at and have been for the past 20 years. So Thankfully your not Overseeing the daily Operations of the RAIDERS or the same would continue for the next 20 years .Everything should have been stripped down bare to rebuild this Chit Show the right way.
