It's a shame the band members all had a falling out with Daniel Johns...Ben Gillies (drummer) is still releasing music, as is Johns. Just as different artists. I still remember listening to Triple J radio here in Australia when Silverchair won the national music band competition.

Daniel is one year younger than me and I was 17 here and that fascinated me with respect but the actual reason I loved and still love the records today is how good the music is, Daniel did hard rock the best, this band was fkn awesome, from the lead to the drums to the bassist, I think Ben and Chris always got looked over, although Daniel is a genius it's them all together that made such a great band

I remember buying Frogstomp in 1995 as a 14 year old. Read their interviews in various guitar magazines. Frogstomp is still Silver hairs finest work IMHO. About 3 years ago when I began playing Bass the first bassline (song) I learned from start to finish was Tomorrow. Their music is still an inspiration to me. As it is to countless others.

I loved Silverchair from the first time I heard them. They were my age and so I idolized them. I went to see this tour to see Silverchair. RHCP were just a bonus and at that time had Dave Nevaro on guitar, so not even the Chili Peppers you want to see. Daniel Johns is an amazing singer. Anthony Kiedis has never sounded good live. Have seen RHCP so many times, but I think most times it’s for their openers. Silverchair, Foo Fighters, etc. Was lucky enough to Silverchair live on their Frogstomp tour, twice on their Neon Ballroom tour, and twice on their Young Modern tour. Still one of my all time favorite bands.
