I saw and interview from 1998 of the foo fighters and veruca salt at a music festival. When they asked the bands who was their favorite, they all said “the kid from silver chair has a really good voice, he’s insane because he trains his vocals for like 2 hours before his show”.

This song was the reason I got into Silverchair. I first heard it when I was five, listening to my aunt's CD, though I had no idea who the band was or what the song was called. In my second year of high school, I randomly listened to "Tomorrow," "Israel's Son," and "Miss You Love" on my aunt's old computer, but I wasn't really interested in the band until I stumbled upon their performance on Letterman in '97 here on KZbin. That moment brought back some of my greatest nostalgia in music.

Pretty funny how everyone's calling them a Nirvana ripoff but yet 1) Silverchair admitted when they formed that they were Nirvana ripoffs and 2) This song is a response to people in 1996 calling them Nirvana ripoffs. Also everyone pretty much borrows from one another when it comes to music. I mean my favorite band is Bad Religion but I'll be damned if they didn't steal from Screeching Weasel, Bad Brains and Black Flag.

Queens of the Stone age are more of a early 2000's band but some and I do mean some people did know who they were in the late 90's when they were signed to Stone Gossards label but they were relatively unknown. Their big break came in 2002 when they released Songs for the Deaf and their first big single was No One Knows. I personally got into them in the summer of 2000 when they released their major label debut Rated R.

The very first video I saw from them. I remember Daniel creeped me out...but was extremely cute at the same time. It took a few years before I got fully hooked on this band.

i love silverchair most on neon and diorama albums. i guess those albums really expressed themselves as a band. now listening to daniel's talk album. i cannot believe he is the same person. but whatever makes you happy my love. 😍😍😍
