What a personal and powerful song for him. I wonder what he always felt singing that song. Tbh, because of that song, he made me aware of anorexia disease. I was just 14 then and doesnt care of anything... but because of him, the lyrics and everything, I learned the deeper meaning behind it... and glad he survived it! I love all their album but in Neon Ballroom, god, that was the start of a masterpiece. Johns was indeed a freaking genius. He's a virtuoso! I can still say it today (2020) coz the fact that he likes to evolve, he's truly an artist. I'm not gonna judge him for changing his musical style. He just wanted to learn and try something new. There's nothing wrong with that. I respect that he doesnt want to get stuck on rock genre. He already fulfilled and made it to that level I must say...and I know some of his fans were pissed coz he's doing edm/pop and felt like it was cringyAF and a downgrade. Idk but for me, I truly dmire him to have that courage to get out of the comfort zone. Remember the Qantas campaign that he composed? When I heard it, it's effin surreal and ethereal. 💯👌🏼He's one of kind. BUT. #stillwaitingforsilverchairreunion 🙌🏻❤️

I never heard Silverchair before. A mate at my singing classes introduced me to this band. The first time I heard this song was from this video and I thought this was freaking awsome, perfect alternative pop song, I loved it and envied it. Then I heard the original version of the '90 and thought it was good but not this good. So, I really don't understand all the hate in the comments for this version, I believe that maybe the older fans got their ears stuck to the original sound, 'cause this was really good.

I've probably added about 50-75 views on this video at least! Lol I love this version and I love the original. I love all the albums from Frogstomp to Young Modern. I got Frogstomp when it 1st came out for my 15th bday and still have it to this day. I've enjoyed listening to them gradually change and grow over the years. I don't know why so many dissed their later stuff. People change and mature. Anyway, they are easily my favorite band ever and I really wish they had been bigger here in the US. ❤❤

I always wonder how musicians grow with their songs. This is a special song because it's been long since his eating disorder. I wonder what he feels when he sings it now. RIght on brother. Not many artists muster most or all of the fear-pain, anger, sorrow etc when they sing a song from many moons ago like Trent Reznor does with Something I can never have!! It sounds to me that this man (thankfully) grew away from most or all of the pain he had when he wrote Anas Song and like allot of people he grew. That's great.

Sorry for not answering before. I really enjoy every musician's evolution, at least the ones I listen to. Ana's Song is kind of an old song for silverchair. It is amazing that they still play it live, I give them that. I don't mind the change of attitude towards the interpretation, it's only natural that a person grows and leaves his fears behind. I'm very happy for this band, their music makes me happy, all of it. Big hug for you!

I heard this song for the first time off this dvd, and i loved it. so i went back got all their albums and heard it off neon ballroom and it was totally differnt it was strait from his soul, it was the best when he sang it back then only because he felt it. He only sings it know days to keep us the fans happy. Would we still respect daniel if he didnt sing from his heart and soul, even if that means his older songs have a little less meaning. still a great performance. go the chair!
