Grew up listening to Nirvana, they were my favorite band for several years, bought Frogstomp, really liked some of it, a friend gave me Diorama in 2003 and I was blown the fuck away. I couldn't believe it was the same kids from 1995. I still love both bands. They're almost completely incomparable, though, and I don't understand why people still insist upon doing so beyond "durr hurr blond haired musicians."

wickedgit I have been a fan of Silverchair even before I was attracted to men in a physical way .. I never once thought of Daniel as hot or beautiful and it was nothing but enjoying the music .. yes now I can look at him and say yes he's attractive but when I was into frogstomp and freakshow and neon Ballroom as a younger kid it was nothing except the music .. you're the only one saying this

As much as I respect Daniel, I know that he's in a better state now with his Straight Lines album. It's good to know that he's not obsessing about his mental issues or anorexia 24/7. He was toking on the weed well back in the Frogstomp days, Paul Mac turned him onto the Lab based chems. All downhill from there, he lost his fan base and tried to tap into Mac's genre and failed.

Aurora Daniels Also in those days people didn’t talk as much about mental illness awareness as they do now . Especially in those days when you had rockers committing suicide or dying of OD’s . ( Andy Woods, Chris Cornell ,Scott Weiland ,.. Cobain, Chester Beddington ) It was just written off as a drug problem without really actually saying that the person was suffering from some form of mental trauma
