I'm in no way a musical expert. My family always sang and played instruments it did give me an ear for tune and notes. I don't think people understand how talented he is. His writing and singing skills are so above average I don't really know how to talk about it. And how young he was when he started it's amazing to me. I wish people understood that what he does is not normal. I'm sure his problems have stemmed from being more talented than what we can handle. It seems people with this kind of talent always struggle.

You're totally right! I guess in the end people who are geniuses tend to be more sensitive, therefore suffer more

I agree 100% Daniel is undoubtedly a musical genius and is very misunderstood by the main stream, he lived mental health issues in a time when we never spoke of these things. Love you @danieljohnshq. 😍

Fully agree. He's an absolute genius, and a LOT of people don't see it that way.. it's truly sad.

In past I used to underrate this album. But with the time I realized they explored other instruments like piano, violins, trompets and Daniel also went more on high notes. I realized this is a masterpiece, and after years listening this song, i've seen a version only with his vocals but this is the first with only piano and vocals. He's a genius on piano. 👏👏👏 bravo!! Bravo!! And this ending, i think its just in this version!

After all these years I can say that I've never appreciated his vocals as much as I do today, hearing this version is beyond what a typical great singer can achieve, this is simply genius, beautiful, powerful and compassionate all in one....Silverchair will forever be timeless

Yeah for sure. To make it even worse, people who have genius level intellect in certain areas often suffer from what is known as asynchronous development. So you could be the greatest musician who ever lived but not be able to emotionally process complex situations. I don’t know Dan personally but sometimes I wonder whether there’s some of this at play.

I fondle keys to my heart when everyone's heart Seems so calm And you found the lock To my dorm and opened the door to my trust Fund my vestry The light in my darkest hour is fear Denies me of anything good so Don't lose your heart you'll need it You'll have to take another pill and tell another lie And lie amongst your lies like tuna in the brine. Take everything that you're not and don't be so Scared to tamper (temper) with (temper) "tampered with" evidence (tamper) Cause you'll come along for the sun if you come at all To lose your heart you'll have to take, take and take. Painting a lie seeing the colors but you seem Closer to everything Closer now than we ever have been We're closer now than we ever should (we) be Closer now than we've ever been before Closer to everything Busking for change and changing everything Feeble fables aren't changing many things It's my time to shine like a tuna in the brine For my pregnant paws aren't changing anything To all of the animals who keep sipping the sweat From my back, You're making me ill And I can't get enough So take another pill and tell another lie And lie amongst your lies like tuna in the brine.

@ouvidopensante5552 Жыл бұрын
As described in the video, it's just an imagination of what this song might sound like if Daniel Johns played the piano instead of the guitar. The track's piano was recorded by Paul Mac, which is why quotation marks were put in the title. Just fun!
