The reason why PCGS doesn't put "American Silver Eagle" is because they're an American based company, and they only state the country of origin for foreign coins, given how there are so many different designs from all over the world throughout history.
@ECP5 жыл бұрын
Older Vintage Numismatic Coins Like Rare Morgans, Seated Liberty, ect... to me make sense to be verified by a reputable company like PCGS or NGC. Verifying very collectible coins and having them graded can substantially change the value... A MS 62 or MS 63 Morgan doesn’t nearly have the value a MS 66 or MS 67 or above in Coins like Morgans. Stacking Modern Silver-is a totally different story... Makes no sense to have Silver Eagles you stack to be graded unless it has a sentimental value like my fathers Silver Eagles he passed on to me... That being said... We are obviously talking about two totally different things... Keep up the great videos my friend...

Buying graded/slabbed bullion is just another form of stamp collecting. My collecting aspect of PMs is because I particularly like a design. I look forward to the end of 2020 regarding last issue of the QBs, ok the 10oz silver and 1oz platinum versions may trail a couple of years later. The only coins I've flipped are coins that I no longer thought that good after all. I still like my eagles, philharmonics, maples and my Britannias. Since we’re all aware that silver will tarnish, eventually, then why the heck would you pay a premium for a silver bullion (or any type of silver) coin wrapped in plastic? Your MS70, with toning, or spotting, is no longer an MS70. Bye-Bye premiums. Be smart, just buy the BU, and stack them for your future purchasing power.

I might add, please take care of your bullion, because Condition will always have an effect on their sale value. A local LCS will always be willing to take your ASE’s, but for max value, you have to keep them in BU version. Slabs, just like stacking, is a hedge against the future. Stacking hedges the economic market, slabbing hedges the collector market but even if it’s weak when you go to cash in, it’s still silver and worth it’s weight. Kids generally aren't interested in coin collecting. So even if it will loose numismatic value in the future, I think the intrinsic will still be there. Sorry I have to say that a mistake for the majority I’ve collected silver since 1980 and if you haven’t learned from the Morgan dollars which aren’t pure silver bullion that were in bags loose on stage coaches no one thought of condition you can buy slabbed silver eagles in bulk of 20 same as a roll in a lower 68 grade so buying loose silve eagles is a waste of the multi investment the eagle program offers first the Eagle .999 billion is premium grade bullion foreign countries buy by the a skid of monster box’s. Back when silver was under 2 buck a oz I purched mine by monster box having a few rolls graded the rest spring as if it was Fort Knox same quality bullion before 2006 when there were proof collectors and a collector that collected uncirculated business strikes the us mint desired after selling out quicker than any other coin they have ever minted and mind you only between 1-5 million business strikes were minte they be an in of by offering a collectors version a low mintage coin now referred to burnished as well as the reverse proof and the result was all the difference types of Eagle collectors merged the price of silver was rising stray and with countries buying all the pure gold and silver they can get there hand on the us mint was forced to raise that business stike to the 10’s and 20 million range now creating the most collected bullion coin in history world wide there’s nothing wrong carrying a lucky silve Eagle around or playing with a low value year with is determined not just. Y mintage numbers it’s created when a year has a strike that 50 pct -75 pct of graded coins by the only two grading companies that count the ngc and pcgs despite blogs swearing one is better than the other for some confused novice collector that read a article that gets mumbled up in there Pravin and makes them a expert unaware of what the pcgs started as as well as the ngc . Now beside going from purchasing monsters boxes direct fooled by the always increasing value of silve lead to buy direct a few rolls leading to one roll and since 2005 only buying the complete sets which I have and send out for grading and slabbing. I can’t imagine opening day a basic 2002 roll of silver Eagle to play with when now is a Eagle that a mere 3 pct graded perfect and the problem with pure bullion and the minting process the dies sometimes aren’t completly dry allowing that water on the .999 newly minted coin which are sent out to be slabed with the mintage year protecting the grade unlike we did with Morgan’s but up to two years milk spots can form after coin is slabbed and graded and 2000 2001 got slammed with other issues from the mint process were only a hundred of so ever graded at 70 making them 5,000 dollar coin in 70 the other years out there that state 70 but got hit with milk spots is the one thing neither grading company can guarantee unlike what’s written on the label that increase value first strike isn’t as blogger state more valuable then first day of issue which ranges to cover between 100k and up to 200k depending on the year a first strike is a small noth above a early release and isn’t worth paying extra for . Getting back to the multi investment Eagle have became besides the bullion and collectors low mintage coins and error coins the true 70 perfect coins that made it threw the two years were problems chemical reaction can cause most don’t even know I see them buying coin graded 70 that has only a single milk spot it can be tiny but unfortunately they have yet to solve the problem with the minting process of .999 pure silver the royal mint believed they came out with a solution to treat the coins with buy that failed so a lot of 70s still listed as such my research is at 20 pct and you will notice over the years if you take advantage of ngc or pcgs free apps the numbers slowly go down 2002 sold in 70 just last year for under 100 in the 80 -90 dollar range until the few that use the knowledge of the stats offer for free saw 2002 dropping to around 2 pct and maybe )-8 thousand at most true 70 exist in the world so collectors like mysel who slabbed the majority of there coins after silver spiked over 10 buck for good now have 2002 for example that you can’t buy for less than200 per coin. 2000 you can’t buy a 70 for under 1,000 dollars for a single ms 70 1 oz coin I paid 700 bucks per roll in 2000 I only purchased what I could afford unfortunately but have learned so much starting with the Morgan’s that aren’t bullion just 90 pct silve less than sterling silve buy a lot but unlike eagles who haven’t even hit a 40 th anniversary let alone a 100 th anniversary learning from the past is simple to understand using the mild profits when silver was cheap allows collectors to reinvent that 10 - 1000 pct profit per oz and invest in now the new version of the silver Eagle design smart would be to buy a few 70 graded 2021 type 1 last day of issue and as many as they can afford they will be cheap same as 1986 and 1987 for abot half the decade my guess would be 5 years that two 40-60 dollars first day of issue and last day of issue coins will turn into the same as the 1986 and 87 ms 70 so learn from history don’t play with more that the rolls you already have and if you want a opertunity to leave great grand kids a true fortune with all metals with electronics and electric cars driving gold and silve to what will most likely for great grand kids the price of silver Wilde be todays price of gold along with the graded 70 coins that won’t sell on eBay ever again only southbystype nyc auctions but feel free to regret a lost ground ball by just learning from the past so no I don’t agree in a sad for you and your grandkids way to buy ungraded coins and open .@99 silve with air being a enemy to .999 bullion Morgan’s are a differnt metal all together and only cost what they do becase of the only two compared to 6 multi investment of eagles age and rarity of certain years I hope you choose to make a video why to buy grade coins or buy rolls you don’t open ever coins . God bless

Silver Dragons cool man 😎 I don’t buy slabbed either. To me it’s like having a corvette or some nice sports car. Sure it’s super cool to have, but you pay more than it’s worth to get and as soon as your key touches it, it looses value. You can only use it in certain places and times. And when you try to sell or trade you have to find that specific market. 🤔 And from what I’ve seen as far as slabs go for coins, I can go get a slab case and put my coin in it myself for much cheaper. No it may not be graded. But what I’ve so far encountered is that slabs and books are just guidelines for what an approx price may be. Like a Kelly Blue Book or GIA grading for stones. Just a suggested price range. Again, anyone can do that themselves for much cheaper. 🤷🏽♂️ just my thoughts and opinions. I still consider myself kinda new to this so I may just be blowing smoke but hey, live and learn. Have a good one bro. Thanks for your opinion.
