Nice tour, great setup. I really wish on all these Smart Tours (yours and others) that there would be an overlay showing the product name, if it is native Homekit, and possibly price range. Watching on the TV I have to then look at my phone to see if gadgets are listed in the lengthy description.

Are you utilizing Ecobee as your security system since you have their sensors on the doors/windows? What has your experience been like there?

Yes I have. If you don't mind the monthly fee, It's a great security system. Sensors are very reliable and the thermostat works great as a keypad. I'm not currently using their cameras, but if you add them to the mix, the experience is even better.

@@GeorgeLangabeer - does it bother you that it doesn’t expose a security system to HomeKit? Do you just rely on ecobee app and shortcuts? Any other workarounds I’m missing?

Doesn’t bother me at all. All the sensors are still in HomeKit & that’s what matters to me.

I have not. I have no interest in having my cameras (Reolink or otherwise) in HomeKit Secure Video. Until they update the platform, I’m done. These cameras have tons of great features and I’m not going to waste them worrying about having them in Apple Home. This might sound like a bitter comment, but please know that it’s not bitter towards you, it’s bitter towards Apple. lol

Do you prefer the Ecobee sensors over Aqara?

I do, mostly because if I open my windows, the ecobee sensors automatically shut off the Ecobee thermostat & then turns it back on when I close them. They do that more flawlessly than if I tried to do it with an automation using Aqara.

I have a few of those appliances set in my own home: Lutron and Philips Hue have been rock solid awesomeness! I also use a combination of of Homepod Minis and Sonos speakers, pretty much the same way you do: Sonos for TV and movies sound, and Homepods for Smart home control and music 🎵 I also much prefer to use my AppleTVs even with the Smart TVs And boy! your place looks incredibly clean and tidy! Kudos!
