***** yup X-Men at its best imo under Claremont is as much dealing wtih drama and agnst as it is soap heroics if not more. Its different,dysfunctional people coming together for often different reasons and forming a family of sorts. Its often close knit,messy but is probably the strongest thing they will ever know probably one of the more appealing aspects of the xmen to me over other marvel teams.

Yeah, I love Gambit and Rogue. They have way more personality than Cyclops and Jean, especially in this series. Their love seems stronger as Rogue is reluctant to let it show. She doesn't want to hurt Gambit because of her mutant powers. Gambit doesn't seem to care though.

Ben Quick If I remember correctly, Rogue was tricked by Mystique, who raised her and envisioned a great future for her as an all powerful leader of mutants, into fighting Ms. Marvel so Rogue would get her powers. It ended up with Ms Marvel unconscious and about to fall to her death. Rogue grabbed her so she wouldn't die and by the time she was able to let go, Ms. Marvel was in a coma and Rogue had a fully fleshed copy of Ms Marvel in her head that was constantly trying to take her body over. Rogue ended up with super strength, flight, and near invulnerability. She ended up with the X-men because Ms Marvel kept taking over her body/mind and she needed the Prof's help caging her.

It was Calremont years later who would eventually save Ms Marvel from editorial oblivion and bring her back as a leading character.

It was all about wolverine! The first three films were better than the standalone or the reboot. Bryan just needed a better script written by actual fans. If they are going to do gambit and rogue, they need someone who looks like him and can act too. I wish they'd do them like they used to, but with a real storyline.

It annoys me how films are about remakes, CGI, reboots etc. It shouldn't be. Gambit isn't really like wolverine imo. Didn't logan like Jean? I think hedoes show a softer side to him. I like Hugh as wolverine but he should have been more 'evil'. Gambit seems like he avoids fights to be honest. He tried to talk it out while wolverine would be like "come at me bastard". I can see Josh as gambit actually. Not Keanu lol he can't act for toffee as much as I do like him. Probably still better than Taylor. I can't understand how people can like Taylors version. No way! Depp is so overrated it is unbelievable. I liked anna but like I said, they showed rogue before she sucked ms marvels powers. I think Anna was ok. So was Ellen but only for the early days. If bryan does anything again he needs to recast some roles. If they get acting lessons they can stay LOL.. I loved evolution too. I don't know why people disliked it. Fun Fact: The reason Storm speaks while using her powers is because of her ancestry. Storm is descended from a long line of powerful African witches with white hair and blue eyes. Because she was born a mutant her X gene greatly evolved her already innate mystical power thus producing the Omega level weather witch.
