@@MoviesNeverSayDie You'll be surprised to know that the Soundtrack from Adventures In Babysitting wasn't released in any format in 1987 until 2015 and is now out of print and sells for hundreds on the after-market. I own a copy and got it when it was released! 💽🎥👶🚼

I saw a number of these in the theater, both the top two i saw, Good Morning Vietnam and 3 Men and a baby. I recall seeing Stakeout, Hello Again, Adventures in babysitting, and i cant remember for sure ,but may have seen Can't buy me Love and Outrageous Fortune as well.

That's cool I think of these the only one I went to see at the theater was 3 Men and a Baby and it was the next year at the second run theater by my house.

So many great movies from this studio, during this Era and I was lucky enough to see many of them in the theater as I was 13 at the time. Of course, the best of the bunch is Stakeout. I loved it in '87 and have only grown to adore it more as I got older. How many films can you say that about? For pure entertainment value, you'd certainly be hard pressed to find a better film. They simply do not make movies of this quality anymore. To tell you the truth, Hollywood hasn't got the talent. From director John Badham (Saturday Night Fever, Blue Thunder, Wargames) to writer Jim Kouf (National Treasure, The Hidden, Disorganized Crime). Not to mention Richard Dreyfuss whose sheer joy of performance is worth the price of admission. A little Trivia... Originally, Leonard Nimoy was set to direct. Instead, he left the project to direct 3 Men & a Baby. Also, Val Kilmer was going to play the villain role that in the end went to Aidan Quinn. Quinn, by the way, met his future wife on the set. She played a waitress in the bar if you ever saw the film. If you never saw Stakeout, drop whatever it is you're doing and watch it! It is guaranteed entertainment.

It's wild how the movies from this era have such a strong rewatch value yet the movies of today are hard to sit through just once more often than not. Films aren't able to rely on acting talent writing and direction. Its all gimmicks, franchises and nostalgia cash grabs.

@ fantastic channel by the way. Quick question if i may.. A movie i loved back in the 80’s seems to have completely disappeared, Down And Out In Beverly Hills. I can find it anywhere on DVD or Blu Ray especially here in the United Kingdom,it’s as if it’s been wiped from history. Do you know what happened to a release or anything?
@MoviesNeverSayDie28 күн бұрын
You know I've noticed that with a lot of the Touchstone Pictures films from this era. Not sure if they are all in distribution limbo or what. But I was assume they'd be on Disney+ but nothing.

Ernest goes to camp is a childhood favorite of mine the late great Jim Varney what a lovely comedic genius he was a total one of a kind and stakeout although very well known it got lost in the shuffle of the lethal weapon's and 48 hours of the day another great lost Buddy cop movie from the 80s is the amazing 1988 Willem Dafoe and Gregory Hines film off limits if you've never seen check it out it's a lost gem and also have yourself a merry Christmas and be well

It was I believe a Showtime staple back in the 80's on cable. I didn't watch it for a while thinking it looked dull, but I finally watched it and quite enjoyed it, been hoping for a Blu Ray release for it because i haven't seen it in quite some time.

🎥😢Sadly, Ernest Goes to Camp is actually lost media due to the actor that portrayed the Indian "Iron Eyes Cody" not being a real Indian but Italian. The truth was revealed after the actor died in 1999. Hence the movies scarcity and the fact that it isn't being streamed anywhere, and the DVD is out of print! 🏕🧢🐻🔥

Yeah it dosnt pop up alot. I have this old triple movie DVD combo with it on there. And Saves Christmas and I think the one where he goes to Jail.
