That Integrale Evo 1 is a dream car. Also the Cosworth, The Escort Mark II and the Jag Project 8 or the Impreza P1. Any one would do. Amazing cars. One day, maybe. Either that or a Smart FOR2. Imagine ordering a bespoke E46 M3 made entirely to your specs (I didn't know you can do that and get it with an "Individual" badging) and ending up doing 29,000 miles before selling it. What a waste. Thank you Harry for another entertaining video. One last thing, I think the 1967 Iso Grifo can get double the guided price of 340,000. That is one unique piece of art. Super super collectible. Exactly what collectors are looking for. Perfect color with a nice history and story. The Chevy 327 engine doesn't bring the value down. It is a perfect fit. These cars don't come by often if ever.

Love Harry and as everyone is saying, love the auction previews, but I have to say, some of these estimates are becoming ludicrous. I don't care how rare an 'H' registration BMW M3 is, there's no f*****g way it's worth £150k +. The fact that people are mad enough to pay these prices is a shame as it precludes the average car enthusiast from enjoying the benefits of classic car ownership.

I remember when I could get a Lancia Delta HF Integralé EVO 2 for less than £7,500 - that was only around 2008! Ever since there was that Top Gear episode on Lancias, the prices shot through the roof - the same model Lancia was then selling for £40,000! Now it's more than double that! The other car I was looking at at the time was a Pontiac Trans-AM GTA - they doubled in price but thankfully I got one. What's crazy to me though is why someone would want a 4 cylinder hatchback over a V8 muscle car and be willing to pay more than 5 times the price for it!

I love KZbin up until last week I'd never watched a Harry's Garage. I'm now addicted. If I won the lottery I'd have been at this auction. I'd have grabbed the P1, RS500(proper one), Intergrale Evo, Clio V6, M3 Evo, Focus RS500 and the Aventador for the shopping run ;) We can but dream. Just sold the best car I've ever had a Arden blue VXR ASTRA J. 280bhp and went like stink (poor man's super car) Amazing car but wife made me sell lol 😆

So much want in here! The Sport 300, The S4S (OZ rims don't suit the S4 though imo). So happy to see the most wonderful ever Group A homologation special ever, the Integrale finally getting the recognition they deserve (I don't think the larger headlights were for the Japanese market only? All original Integrales had these. They went to the more purposeful looking same size lights with the evos?). The (Sierra) RS500 would be an wonderful thing also if tuned to make it handle sufficiently evil. I like that the Mk1 GT3 is getting some recognition also. According to contemporary reviews no other GT3 drive the same, with the rear end moving and squirming but still gripping hard. That P5 Coupe is a bargain!!! The Iso Grifo obviously, is very, very special.

I can only agree with you Harry, about the ISO Grifo being the star of the auction - one of my own top three dream cars. A 1960s Ferrari with reliability! My recollection, backed up by motoring magazines and my own colour slides, is that Mike Hailwood was in South Africa at that time to campaign a Ford GT40 (I think it was a Mirage, I'd have to check) in the Springbok Series of sports car endurance races. These included the Kyalami 9-hour and the Cape Town (Killarney) 3-hour races. I can still remember watching Mike changing the jets in the Webers on the Ford V8. The story I remember (and I may have it in a motoring magazine somewhere) is that he did, indeed, collide with a cow wandering about in the road (this is/was Africa, after all), but that the Grifo was a write off. I know I have a slide or two of the Grifo parked in the paddock at Killarney. Offhand, I seem to remember that it was a bronze or gold colour. Thanks, as always, for a most enjoyable and informative video.

8V and 16V Integrales all had the large + small headlight irrespective of market. Note sure about the EVO1 & 2 - I've seen them with larger inner headlights as well as same size ones.

I remember when the Esprit 300 sport came out and seeing it at different shows with the other models like S4S and V8. The 300 Sport was always my favourite and looked the meatiest with those split rims, arches and spoiler. I think I have old photos of yellow and red ones at the time. Wasn’t there a lightweight version esprit too with a racing wing?

I have the promotional picture card things from the London motor show when the S4 and Sport 300 were shown. I always though that the S4 would be the superior car seeing as it had power steering which contemporary reviews said bettered the SE's steering (which I assume the Sport 300's must have been based on?) in every way, feel, response, feedback (yes). I would love the opportunity to try both and find out for myself!

Just a heads up, the Lotus is fine having a oe Lotus chassis fitted. It only gets sketchy when the Chassis fitted isn't original design....... Depending on if it's an OEM Chassis with the 'Chassis number' stamped into it or an OEM Subframe (with the ID number permanently fixed to the body) would mean the DVLA has to be informed of the change. But generally it's fine if you use a stock unmodified part (according to the DVLA)

Its not actually a "chassis" in correct lotus parlance but a "subframe". Therefore, no need to inform DVLA that you have changed your "subframe". Typical Chapman!

@@ralphmillais5237 It's more complicated than that, if you use an OEM Chassis, Body or Subframe you will meet the first five points of the 'DVLA Radicly altered point system' if you fit a modified Chassis, Body or Subframe you won't meet the first five points...... Basicly Lotus are correct, you can swap a Lotus chassis/Subframe for one bought from Lotus with no problem, it only becomes a problem if you replace your oem chassis with a spaceframe!! then it doesn't matter if you call it a Chassis or Subframe you have to declare it (assuming you care about the rules).
