Incorrect, not original members, the original Bassist: Ed Gagliardi was not present in this video! Anyway, poor Lou Gramm had a brain tumor the size of a large egg in his frontal lobe and it had tentacles wrapped around his pituitary and optic nerve." But in his prime Lou was outstanding. Here is the REAL original band: kzbin.info/www/bejne/p3mnqpKYaJiWebM

@@OTCRock4one Yeah, unfortunately Ed Gagliardi passed away a few years back :( Rick Wills replaced Gagliardi after their second album, and he did end up staying in the band for a much longer period of time. But you're right, Gagliardi was the original bassist.

Lou Gramm still has it all these years later. Al Greenwood is amazing as he still looks very much like he did in the late 70's. Ian McDonald, as Mick Jones noted, was a VERY IMPORTANT member of Foreigner. I was in a small theater in 1977 and saw Foreigner on their first tour. I sat on the side of the stage and was in awe of Ian McDonald as he played keyboards, flute, sax and guitar along with another instrument or two and all with great proficiency. In many decades of rock concerts I have never seen a musician as multi talented as Ian McDonald. He was fantastic! Also, I saw the late Ed Gagliardi who played bass on the first two records (Rick Wills replaced him). Ed was was moving about the stage with enthusiasm that night (RIP ED). Mick Jones was great as well and assembled a brilliant group of musicians in the 70's as Foreigner. This mini tribute to the original band was great and kudos to Rick Wills as he sounded super.

I figured everyone knew about that. I have watched many, many live videos of Foreigner and they sounded even better live...to me. Pull Lou Gramm up...singing live on Regis and Kathie Lee Show. Just Lou , with Mick playing the piano...Lou singing parts of different songs...LIVE and it was early morning. He was AWESOME...gave me chills. Sang some of the new song "With Heaven On Our Side"... he sang it flawlessly. I know we won't agree and that's ok...makes us unique. I also love Steve Perry and Peter Cetera. What a phenomenal band this is & how they have not been inducted into the Hall of Fame is absolutely unbelievable!!!! This band is so deserving of that honor & I wish bands & singers were nominated by the” public “ & not this “ anonymous board” who doesn’t have to answer to anyone. It seems that the board bypasses all the great bands & singers, so deserving of this honor from the past, to put those whom the board decides is arbitrarily“in!” The other option would be to open a new Hall of Fame in a another city! It is so exciting that Lou lives in your city of Rochester & never moved! To pass him in a store or on the street is just so exciting! Lou is so extraordinary along with this whole amazing band! Thank-you for sharing with us all, what a regular guy he is!

Lou Gramm has old self back. His spirit and his swagger have returned. Your fans love you, Lou! Al Greenwood looks very close to what he did in 1977 which is staggering. It was good to see Mick Jones acknowledge the musical prowess of Ian McDonald who as one of the rare instrumentalists in rock played a multiple amount of instruments live and on record with great proficiency. I saw Ian McDonald play on Foreigner's first tour in October of 1977 and 41 years ago I can still recall in detail how he blew me away playing instrument after instrument with great skill that I have never seen since. This guy would pick up a guitar and then pick up a sax and then pick up a flute and then play a keyboard. I've been to hundreds of shows in these 41 years and have yet to see any musician as multi-instrumentally talented as Ian McDonald. Not one concert out of hundreds over nearly half century and never saw one musician come close to being as good at some many instruments.

Back in 1985 I had the privilege of singing onstage with Foreigner at Gulfstream Park Miami, FL. I was only 19 at the time. It was their "Agent Provocateur" tour. I won a singing contest on the morning show of Miami radio station Y-100 and was the only white guy singing in the gospel choir for their huge hit "I want to know what love is".Before the concert, the choir did a meet-and-greet with Lou and Mick. Since I stood out like a sore thumb, Lou noticed me, struck up a conversation, then invited me to join him and Mick to hang out and party on their tour bus for a while. Let's just say it was one of the wildest, most amazing times of my life. Did I also mention "surreal"? ....Side note: Mick Jones is one of the funniest guys ever! He had everyone rolling in laughter on that bus, and if he wasn't a rock star, he could have been a stand-up comedian!

FOREIGNER #2 is a talented band, but no one, NO ONE, could replace the voice of Lou Graham, one of The best, if not the best rock voice ever. His brain tumor almost killed him, but he has had the courage to stay with it despite how it's ravaged his, body and brain, I have such respect for the courage it has taken for Lou to place himself in front of judgmental audiences, many is not most never heard of his tumor and health problems, but who judge him with mean comments. Despite his physical dealings he remains an amazing, professional vocalist no one will ever replace. God bless Lou Graham and continued success in his life.

Time to send Kelly to a job at Guitar Center or something. We need Lou back. They could make it work because with Lou and more original members they could play bigger venues and do fewer shows for more money. It would lift the integrity of the band and be good for PR too.

Lou is awesome, but his health would not allow him to do that. This is actually the ONLY band I would go see with just one original member. This version of Foreigner is great!
