This is so good! Patton sounds excellent here - really does justice to the song, and hearing it all now like this actually makes you realise even more how much of an influence on so many the Cro Mags were!

These musicians blow my mind. I was never able to see them in the 90's. But F###, when I heard they were doing hardcore! I am an old lady who stands in the back these days so I just wanted to thank you for a night of monumental brilliance. And seeing cro-mags (spelling) again. Normally, I am not starstruck but I think that I looked like a giddy girl at a Beatles show.

Dave Lombardo just wanted something more brutal than Slayer, so he joined Mr. Bungle.

MY GUYS, Mr. Bungle, OMG I’m so proud of you. This is how you reunite and still feel current and exciting. Even while playing 30+ year old cover songs, somehow. IDK, I can’t explain it, but they are doing it right. Love Mike’s braids too. He never sticks with one style or stays stagnant. True artists, all these guys.

I like “Metal Bungle”. Mainly because we had the same influences, nostalgia all that. Hope they get back to that eclectic no-genre Bungle that drew me in back in 1992 when they blew my brain live in Detroit. It’s a trip knowing we all were listening to a lot of the same things at the same time. I didn’t hear of Mr Bungle until a month before I saw them on their self titled album tour. I didn’t know they were hardcore fans until Disco, interview with Trey. I remember buying the Beasties (hardcore turned rap) License to Ill and Age of Quarrel on cassette the same day. Yeah, “fight for your right” another Slayer, Kerry King, nod. It all comes full circle in mid life crisis:)

@@AnitaMartini7 I was thinking the same thing, however it seemed like nearly everyone I spoke with came from out of town (I came all the way from Germany). Old age sucks, the bills pile up and no one makes money from selling/streaming music anymore. I wonder how that happened? Oh yeah, all the people who used to pay $10-20 to see a show downloaded everything for free, spouting how the artist should be happy just to spread their art and not put their kids through school, thus destroying the ability to make an income from the sale of their music, which was spreading the costs of other things around. So now shows and merch have to pick up that slack.
