Nice to see a 3 song Soul Cages stretch in the set. My favorite album of his and my first concert ever was seeing Sting on the 1991 Soul Cages tour.

I worked in the music industry and never had a chance to meet Sting. I got to meet Stuart Copeland and he was super nice. Funny story behind it, He had a hat and sunglasses on and I talked with him for about 10 minutes before i realized who he was. We weren’t even talking about music. They were playing near Chicago and the day before I was setting outside a restaurant and this guy comes up and ask if he could sit down and we just started chatting.

We just heard St in g in Seattle last night. It must be amazing to see thousands of people turn out for your concert and sing back the lyrics of the songs you conceived and put into the universe. Saw him last night in San Diego - He looked great and sounded amazing!! Listening to the lyrics, I was reminded of how an artist and poet he is - writing all these songs and music. I would have loved some more interaction with Dominic Miller on stage - he is a phenomenal guitarist. I would have just loved a jam session between them!!

I got to see him about a month after this at the Walmart amp in Rogers, AR. Acoustically, the best concert I have ever been to. And that bass guitar, if it could talk it could tell some stories I'm sure.

Great video, thanks for sharing...Dominique Miller is the only well-known musician Sting is using on this tour, the rest are lower paid unknown musicians, it was most likely done by management so Sting can make the lion's share of the money. Over the years, Sting has used some of the greats in his bands, Manu Katche', Vinnie Colaiuta, Branford Marsalis, Omar Hakim, Kenny Kirkland....ect. The problem is they command large fees from management and Sting makes less money overall than when he uses unknown musicians.

Yeah the guy on the drums looks less than enthused and only there for the cheque.But then again I compare almost any drummer Sting uses to Stuart Copeland so that might be a little unfair. ;)

That's your opinion. In terms of sheer power and aggressiveness nobody can touch Copeland. For Sting's later jazzy years those other drummers were a better fit but for the Police they would've been sadly out of place.
